NEW THEORY ON THE "ZELDA TIMELINE"

Many fans have debated for many years as to which chronological order the Legend of Zelda games should be placed in, with all of them agreeing that Ocarina of Time came first and that there are two seperate timelines for the future where Adult Link defeated Ganon, got sent back in time, and thus, was not around to stop Ganon when he broke free, causing the gods to flood Hyrule, thus Wind Waker. The other timeline being where Young Link warns Zelda of Ganondorf's plan and he's sealed away until Twighlight Princess.

Whilst watching a video on YouTube recently of one fan's theory, a particular line from the opening of Wind Waker stood out to me.

"This is but one of the legends of which people speak."

This says to me that each Legend of Zelda game may in fact just be the same story with the same characters. Over time, when people told their children and grandchildren the legend, certain details may have changed slightly, and eventually drastically. I think each game is a different retelling of the same legend, with no true, definitive recollection of what actually happened.

Think about it, how many different variations of the Hercules legend float around in our world? Maybe it's just like that, or maybe I'm avoiding a very taxing task for Zelda fans ^^

I'm not comfortable with any idea that can't be expressed in the form of men's jewelry

Can't be true. Some of the games are definitely linked together. Others are not.

There. I solved it.

This is a subject that i have thought about, and have discovered that there are some Zeldas that are in a parallel world. Thus in a new timeline. It isn't the first time that they've done it. The Wind Waker games are in fact a sequel to the Zelda:OOT , but he failed in that world. They had a sequel to A link to the Past, where a Link from a parallel world came to save Hyrule.

So no, they are not one game just retold.. they only one who would know the timeline... is the creator and the people working on it now. They have not released much, but we can learn which games are sequels to what game. Zelda: Link's awakening is a sequel to A link to the past. Of course, you know Zelda II is a sequel to Zelda 1. The seasons games... I have no idea. But I do know that they were going to remake the zelda 1, as the 3rd of the Seasons game. Zelda Majora's Mask is a sequel to Zelda: OOT.

The big problem is that you'd have to sort out which ones are parallel worlds and try to figure out the timeline of the ones left over. Not an easy task, and it's better just to wait to see if they'll release one. The makers are attempting to clear up the timeline, that was their goal and they stated that a few years ago.
LINK, JOIN ME IN MY ALTERNATE REALITY WHERE NOTHING WORKS
I think it goes like this:

Branch 1:
The Minish Cap -> Four Swords -> Four Swords Adventures

Branch 2:
Adult Link's Ocarina of Time -> Majora's Mask -> Oracle of Ages/Seasons (Could fit here.) -> The Wind Waker -> Phantom Hourglass -> Spirit Tracks

Branch 3:
Young Link's Ocarina of Time -> Majora's Mask -> Oracle of Ages/Seasons (Could fit here.) -> Twilight Princess

Branch 4:
A Link to the Past -> Link's Awakening (?) -> Oracle of Ages/Seasons (Could fit here.)

Branch 5:
The Hyrule Fantasy -> Adventure of Link (Link's Awakening happens during this, if it's not the sequel to ALttP)

Branch 1 -> Branches 2 & 3 -> Branch 4 -> Branch 5
UGH confusing.

I'm going with: By going back and forward in time so much in Link To The Past Link ruined the timeline causing alternate universes.

Works.
This is like making a timeline for the Mario Party series. I really don't think the makers cared when they were making them, they were just trying to make fun rpgs.

This is a subject that i have thought about, and have discovered that there are some Mario Partys that are in a parallel world. Thus in a new timeline. It isn't the first time that they've done it. Mario Party's 4-5 games are in fact sequels to Mario Party 3 , but Mario never quite found enough stars. They had a sequel to Mario Party 6, where a Luigi came from a parallel world came to save the Mario Party Circus from Mario Party 8.

So no, they are not one game just retold.. they only one who would know the timeline... is the creator and the people working on it now. They have not released much, but we can learn which games are sequels to what game. Mario Party 2 is a sequel to Mario Party 1. Of course, you know Mario Party 3 is a sequel to Mario Party 2. Mario Party 5... I have no idea. But I do know that they were going to remake Mario Party 1, with twice the minigames. Mario Party 6 is a sequel to Mario Party 5.

The big problem is that you'd have to sort out which ones use items and which ones use orbs, then sort 'em out and figure out what that actually means. Not an easy task, and it's better just to wait to see if they'll release yet another game in the most dragged out video game series death ever. The makers are attempting to clean up Mario Party's status in the eyes of the consumer. That was their goal and they stated that a few years ago.

FF6 is the prequel to FF5 because at the end Gogo gets trapped in the falling tower which becomes, eventually, Gogo's underwater home.

I love you, Relyt. :D
How about enjoying the game instead of spending countless hours analyzing the storyline?
All I know is that Minish cap has the Picori sword and not the Master sword and I am pissed. (at least, I think I'm about done with it, and no signs of it yet)
I want to see one where Link is old. Like, Clint Eastwood-old, and still kicking ass.
