the american dream is illusion... ... ...
Actually, I feel the American Dream is only meaningless for people that don't deserve it. If you can work hard enough to gain some upward mobility, that's great. But the "dream" is often realized as fake when so many others are on the top when it feels they don't deserve to be. Also, it seems a bit much to claim nowadays that America's absolutely the best place for upward mobility.
