Wilfred, definitely. As for Kyr-Stan...guaranteed, it would be entertaining to watch a giant rabbit slaughter everyone on the field, but what else could he do that Wilfred the Hero couldn't? Unless the two were a pair, like the Ice Climbers. But without hammers.
Sage or Paladine from Deus Cards and at least 1 character from Legion Saga ought to be in as well. Also...

I agree with a lot that have been suggested.
Talan and Kershe without even questioning it just because the game is so well known.
Don because everybody's played Don's Adventure (Flaid and Marcus as assist trophies).
Shroud and Stoic to represent the only real complete and good RMXP game.

Karen and Nero from KCA.
I can't believe that Legion Saga hasn't even been mentioned yet. Ridman and Nastra definitely. The hero from 3, too, possibly as an assist trophy (I don't remember his name, but he had long blond hair right?)

Carter from Iron Gaia. Regardless of what you think about it, it's a well-known RPGMaker game (franchise ahah).

This is a character in a future title of mine, So nobody here has heard of him yet. But trust me, he would be great.
Zai. Zai is a mysterious rogue with awesome magic powers granted by a demon, who has a half-posession upon his soul. If ANYONE get's this guy's short fuse lit, they are in for it! Hm... could the demon be his Final Smash???
Yeah, if you check my Wrath of Darkness page, you see that I have a long series coming out. He is in that series, and is my favorite character from it.

They would most certainly be a pair.
If not, that Kyr-Stan uses fists and Wilfred uses a sword suggests different movesets. Also, they could be equipped with different sets of learnable abilities from the game (even though they have access to the same skills in reality).
This is so ridiculous.
Otherwise yeah, there would have to be a character that looked like Nibrowb/Sekapook except had two horns and had a name that was an anagram of both names put together like Bringpookasebow or whatever.

Rowen from Finding Forever Eden
The two characters from Dragoon Legends (probably can't though, because its not really RPG Maker)
Characters from older RMD & Frying Bear games, such as Dreamer, Diary of a Madman, the Tyrant God Saga, and Dawn of Darkness)
Characters from RM95 games as well.
I don't have anything else in mind right now.

At one point, there was a game being made by folks in #rm2k called "RM Deathmatch". It was basically a 3v3 team battle. Each team was from a certain game. There was a team from Kinetic Cipher, Kindred Saga, and Diary of a Madman, as well as others. It died because of too many politics getting involved.
A few years ago, dfalcon (maker of Aurora Wing) and I toyed around the idea of making a new one in ika. Unfortunately, this was years after the original so the majority of the design docs were lost as well as the custom graphics that were made. Iishenron helped us compose a list and ask people for permission for us to use their game characters and EXPLICITLY said that they were giving us full control over what their character was like in the game. We had a range of titles that I don't fully remember, but it included ABL, Legend of the Philosopher's Stone, and other big names.
Anyways, DF wasn't able to devote a lot of time for it and I'm cursed to ruin everything I touch, so the game never really made it past conceptualization.
I've kinda wanted to pick it back up, though...

Maybe Zai could be a third-party character? Like Snake? As for RPG Maker 95 games, the only one I know of is Crestfallen: Inception. Yeah, a character from Crestfallen: Inception would be great.
An EnterBrain for a "master-handish" isn't such a bad idea. Maybe the Subspace Emissary could be replaced by the Shadowcorperation?
Oh, and maybe Hilbert, from Last Scenario. That's the other decent complete RPGMaker XP game, I think.

Not so sure if Rhue has been mentioned from "The Way." He would be a pretty cool character to have in smash bros.

Yeah, Rhue's already here. Mentioned him in the first post, along with Strata. You know, so you can reenact the optimal plunge from Episode 5. I thought about having Scatha, because Scatha is awesome, but I didn't want the roster to be entirely populated by Way characters, so...
I guess we'll need Traziun as well, because he's practically the strongest character in the series.
How would Rhue's moveset work, though? I've been thinking about that for a while. Would he specialize in groups (his first XL ability is Spin Blade, after all) or would he be more of a one-on-one character (because of plunges)? Would he be able to change his aura? Could his Final Smash be the move he used against Slade in Episode 5, where the sword grows into Slade's body?
And if Rhue can change his aura, how would Talan's moveset work in relation to his?
