RPGS... YOU'VE BEATEN

RPG's that I tried to beat, but haven't:
FFX: (I was on the last boss, and then the ps2 started freezing every time I tried to fight him. Once we got it fixed, the memory card went missing, and still has yet to be found!)
Final fantasy X2: I tried for a little, and it was alright, but it got boring.
Jade Empire: I play it from time to time, but it's story isn't my personal favorite...
Morrowind: Really, I don't even try to beat it, I just enjoy the freedom of it, and so it's NEVER going to get finished.
You reminded me to add Morrowind and Oblivion to my lists! How on earth could I forget those? Both beaten.

Games I wish to beat that I have yet to start:
Breath of fire 1 and 2: I have a rom for both. Does anyone know about how long they are? I wish to beat them some time.
Final fantasy 3,4,5 and 6: I have roms for all of these, Ill probably do ff4 first, because when I was about 3 or 4 I played it, and now whenever I listen to the music, I get these amazing flashbacks and memories that make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Yet again, does anyone know about how long they are?

Anyway, theres what I've got to say

Breath of fire 1 and 2 are really two of the best games you could play. The storyline is a bit slow but the action and adventure never stops. It is a must play game.

Dude you MUST play ff6!
Was the ff6 comment directed to me? if so, how come.

Also it is very confusing because the roms I have on my computer for the final fantasy games are screwed up. I think it says I have 1 to 6, but the thing is, some are japanease. So ff4 is the right one, and then something like ff2 will actually be ff4 in english, but someone actually wen through the work to change the title screen and everything.. So maybe I don't have 6. Tell me, does 6 start with some scene with robots, and then you are the people in robots for a little bit?

Also, still wondering the lengths (approx, of course) for the breath of fire games, as well as the final fantasy.
The real Final Fantasy II and III were never released in North America. They were NES games. When Final Fantasy IV (for the SNES) was to be ported to North America, it was renamed to Final Fantasy II for that market, because marketers assume Americans are stupid (often with good cause) and wouldn't be able to figure out what happened with FFII or FFIII (this is also why you see such stupidities as Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone. Because Philosopher's Stone would've been too confusing.)

So anywho, that is the source of the disconnect. We know now that FFII (NA) == FFIV (JAP)

Continuing the story, Final Fantasy V was also never released to North America, but Final Fantasy VI was. Since in NA they renamed FFIV to FFII, they renamed FFVI to FFIII. So, FFIII (NA) == FFVI (JAP)

Then the PS1 came out, FFVII was a bit hit, and they found out that people aren't as stupid as they seemed, so for later ports and general reference, the games have since been known by their proper names.

FFIV, V, VI will probably take around 30-60 hours each, or more, depending on how thorough you are.

EDIT:

FFVI is the best in the series, IM-not-so-HO.
What i reckoned spoiled the final fantasy series the most was FF11. It was stupidity that they made it online and the expansion packs just plain pissed me off. To enjoy the full experience of the game you had to buy all other shit. I was relieved when they brought out FF12 and it was just the one game.
I don't know why, but I never got into FFX or any past it. I tried them, but I never got into it. I didn't even bother putting them on my list. A matter of opinion, I guess...
The earlier games will always be the best for Final Fantasy even though the graphics were shit.

You can't really say that, back in the day those graphics were fucken awesome, I still think Final Fantasy VIs graphics are good today.

I second that!
what's up with the mutual dislike of Xenogears? It's only one of the best RPG's ever made!! ;D

Ahhhh~! Who's knocking Xenogears?!
I freaking LOVE that game.
The second CD almost made me cry, though. Not because of storyline. Cause you could literally feel how rushed the designers were when hastilly stapling it together. v.v
If that hadnt been there it would be unrivaled as one of the greatest games in the history of the universe. That's the ONLY problem, well, save for that there were too many Gear battles when the on foot stuff was way better.
DO YOU HEAR ME SQUARE?! Remake THIS game!!! NOW!!!!!
Most RPG games I'm actually not very good at...
Unless their fairly easy...
I've beaten a few pokemon games, if you can call those RPG's...

Avalon was a fun freeware PC game that I'm very very fond of...
& I beat both of the Golden Sun games...
I'm still working on a few FF games right now - and Mushai - Samurai Legend... if you wanna call THAT an RPG...

Chrono Cross I need to pick up again, and Chrono Trigger left me rushed through Magnus's castle under-leveled and stuck with barely any items and low health...
I have been more of a rpg player than maker.
what was up with pokemon games. They were always too easy. I played the one that's on the gamecube hoping that it would be a bit of a challenge and nope. Clocked it in a day.

Beaten RPGs:

Baldur's Gate
Arcanum
Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines
Deus Ex

Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII

Faxanadu
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon
Link's Awakening
Battle of Olympus

Other:
Sword of Hope

Notably Unfinished:
Fallout & Fallout 2
I get way into these great games then I have to leave and when I come back I have no idea where to go and just want to restart. Eventually I'll get to the actual end. Eventually.

Planescape Torment
I was far into this during my "summer of completing games" (I completed Arcanum and Baldur's Gate). But then free time went away and like with the Fallouts if I tried to continue I'd have no idea where to go but would just have to start over.

Notably Unplayed:
Knights of the Old Republic (1 or 2)
I didn't have a machine that could run them when they came out and reading up on reviews on them it didn't seem like the awesomeness I had with stuff like Arcanum. I have no great desire to play these games even though people rave about them. However if they make KOTOR3 to finish off KOTOR2 (which apparently had no ending) I'll buy the cheap boxed set with all three. If I ever feel like wasting time on a game longer than Portal again.

Any Elder Scrolls Game
With Oblivion things got out of hand. Morrowind completely passed me by and everything I read about Oblivion said it was worse than Morrowind in every aspect. I have never played Oblivion but I hate it with all my heart and to me it is an example of everything that is wrong with RPGs today.
Oh and the fact that those fuckers over at Bethesda took the Fallout license and will buttrape it.
