Hey guys! I am creating my first full length game in VX and was wondering if I could get a little feedback and advise on it.
I have it barely going right now and am just trying to figure out on what it is I should really be concerned with when I am making it. I have done a lot of planning on my previous games but then I ended them. So this time I am just going head-long into what ever pops into my head and placing it into the game.
What do you guys think I should do...? Do more planning and think of what the world should look like or just go for it and add to the game as I go on? I'm not sure...

I suggest visiting this topic on the importance of planning. http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/4271/
The basic gist is that a decent amount of planning is required. At the very least you should know how many characters you intend to make, how long you intend your game to be, and any custom systems or extra features you plan to implement into it. Doing this early generally prevents you from having more work later on, such as trying to retroactively add something in to your game you suddenly realize it must have halfway through.
Everyone's got their own style though. Personally I just create a main character, develop his personality, and decide what kind of trouble he'll get into with his personality as I work.

Well, to be horribly honest, I posted in that forum stating that I also always try to plan ahead of time. But here recently that hasn't worked for me and I have had a great deal of trouble with making any games. I'm at a horrible loss at the moment...
Ever hear of writers block...? Now meet RM block... DX
It's something every game maker suffers from.
For me the best cure for that is to play someone else's game. You may end up getting an idea or two, or be inspired to work on your own project.

Lol, would of never thought of doing that... Thanks! Also something else I have started doing is playing with the Face Maker and the Char maker at this site: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://www.famitsu.com/freegame/tool/chibi/index1.html < Credit HIGHLY goes to someone else for this post though, forgive me deeply, I can not remember who it was and nor can I find the forum discussion I found it in anymore... > It has kind of helped me in making some new faces and so forth and I have enjoyed playing with it... Its brought some idea's to my head, not many, but some. :)
