If we're going to blame things that aren't the guy himself, we can look at the inflated importance of sex in society. There's many 48 year olds who have never had sex, and they're doing just fine. Why did he think sex is so important? Maybe because every media outlet inflates its importance?
Well, yeah, I can agree with that. However also because a lack of sex (for years and years and years), especially when you desire it is generally unhealthy to the human psyche. The libido and the IMPORTANCE of sexual fulfillment is not to be underestimated! However I do agree with the overblowing of sex.
Also, hatred of women. Being angry for not having sex with girls so shooting them? That's basic misogyny. Does he feel that women are fuck machines (thanks Vonnegut), and if they don't fulfill his desires then he gets angry at them? What perpetuated such sexist demeaning attitudes?
Yeah, dude definitely had some misogyny issues going on. I have to wonder what kind of relationship he DID have with the little females he knew, most notably his mother. She is the last person he called right before he did what he did (and he told her everything as well).

A rant over gun control? How about looking at this realistically and placing the fault ENTIRELY on this disturbed individual's actions? A killer is a killer, guns or not, and we are all given the choice in life... handle things responsibly, or handle things by going on a murdering spree, and this nut chose the latter.

That doesn't even make sense. There are far more serious consequences to shooting somebody as opposed to screaming and throwing shit which I'm sure everyone who isn't a sociopath would know which to choose when they're pissed off.

Good law abiding citizens should not be stopped from defending themselves by the law. The criminals aren't going to follow it whether it does or not.
Wait, never mind, the laws that don't allow guns on school campuses certainly stopped all those shooters from bringing guns on campus and shooting weaponless individuals. Just ignore all of this since criminals comply with gun control.

The point is that this guy was nuts. He was going to find a way to kill people whether or not he had access to a gun. And no, more violence does not solve the problem. Judge not lest ye be judged and what not.
