I wrote this tool a long time ago that takes an RPG Maker 2000/2003 character set and creates 8 RPG Maker XP character sets from it. You save the character set as a .BMP file and drag and drop it on top of the program (or do the command line if you want).
It's a tool, so where do I submit it?
(Please note that photobucket auto compressed my pictures so they're a little fuzzy)
It turns

Into

ect.. I wrote it because I got sick of doing all of this myself in photoshop over and over. With this, all I had to do was save it as a BMP.
The program can be downloaded here:

I won't probably ever have a use for this, as I don't use anything past 2k3, but nicely done! It works well, from what I can see.
Feld could maybe put it up on the Master RPG Maker Helpful Things topic? ;) *nudge nudge* Right Feld?
I'm pretty sure that there was already a tool around somewhere that converts all the resources RM2k/2k3 uses into ones for RMXP.
I think you are referring to this tool.

It's been a while since I've used it but I believe it converts charsets, tilesets, and just about everything else into XP format. There's also an option to put all the graphics through a filter during conversion to attempt to remove the pixelated look that rm2k/2k3 graphics have. More often than not using it makes things look terrible.
