ANOTHER IDEA FOR AN RPG...

...this one slightly half-baked, but oh well. I'm more of an idea person than a designing person, I guess.
URINE POT THE HERO! (not affiliated with Wilfred the Hero in any way)
The Princess of Jade Castle has been kidnapped by the evil demon Neptune! Again. For the fifteenth time.
Every year in the Middle Kingdom, Neptune attempts to kidnap the princess. Every year, the Princess's personal guard attempts to save her, and every year, the guard inevitably dies--but horribly injures Neptune in the process, disabling the creature for another year. This vicious cycle has continued unabated for fourteen years, and the fifteenth Annual Guard is a man named Raiku, a totally awesome wushu master, who, unfortunately, thinks the young Princess is a real pain in the...well, you know. So when Neptune comes to take her away, rather than challenging the demon to single combat, Raiku steps out of the way and lets him do it. Impressed by the soldier's cowardice, Neptune decides not to kill him, but instead curse him with the name--brace yourself--Urine Pot.
Now it's personal. Raiku, rechristened Urine Pot, must gather a party of adventurers (or at least anyone willing to obey someone named Urine Pot) and pursue Neptune to mysterious Yulong Mountain; however, he must first forge his way through the Forest of Bones, fight off cleverly-named monsters, capture the Dragon King and ride the waves, and deal with Neptune's infernal kin, the Holst Brothers (and one sister), and an upstart named Pluto who, for some reason, thinks he's a Holst brother as well. From here on, life will not be easy. It's a good thing our hero is a crazy, magic-using martial-arts master...named Urine Pot.
On the gameplay front, I'm still deciding whether the hero should be able to recruit heroes from a barracks, or tavern (like in Hero's Realm) or run into them on his strange and wonderful quest (like in Final Fantasy). Instead of being structured like a regular RPG, with a world map, towns and dungeons, Urine Pot the Hero would be divided into several worlds, like in a Mario game; each world is made of several levels, which are essentially mini-dungeons filled with enemies, secrets, puzzles, hidden treasures, etc. Sort of like a combination of Mario and Dragon Quest, except it's an RPG. Completing a level, defeating enemies and doing other things within each world would net you points, which, obviously, level up your characters; you can also earn coins which can be used to buy things (and maybe heal your characters if you earn enough of them, like how you earn a 1-Up if you get 100 coins in Super Mario World).
It's just an idea, and a really strange one at that, which I doubt will come to much. But I'd appreciate feedback, I guess.

Lol, I got a couple of small chuckles out of this. Surprisingly though, I like the idea. It seems like there would just flat out need to be humor in it for it to be a success, however. I think it is worth your time to do.
Thanks for responding!
Considering this is a game where the protagonist is named Urine Pot, I'd say that yes, there would have to be a lot of humor involved.
Oh, and the Holst brothers (and one sister) are named after the Planets, a symphonic suite by a composer named Holst. Neptune is the last movement, and Pluto isn't even mentioned, which is why he's trying to prove his worth by fighting Urine Pot. You ought to listen to it sometime if you haven't heard it already; especially the Jupiter movement. Jupiter is awesome.

Hmm, perhaps I will, sounds to me like you kind of got baked, listened to this song you speak of, and then decided "Wow, I could probably make an RPG of that" lol, nevertheless, I like the idea.
It actually happened like this: I was on the toilet, reading a book, and there was this one section in it that had all these quotes from english-dubbed kung-fu movies. These included "I scare nothing, even you become napkins!" and "Elephant balls!", and others I can't quite remember right now. At the very bottom of the page was "I'm Urine Pot the Hero!"
Click.
Neptune was named Neptune just because I thought it fit. Later I remembered the Planets, and decided to name Neptune's brothers (suddenly he had brothers) after the the movements. Sort of like how the Koopa Kids were named after the development staff of Nintendo at the time.
"What's the inspiration for your RPG?" would be a good topic, come to think of it.
