WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Posts
Given the influx of members, a few of us might be interested in learning where everyone else is from (judging by the latest posts in the Introduction Thread).
so, Where are you from?
Myself? Saskatchewan, a large rectangular province in the middle of Canada. Lots of wheat and all the other grains, pigs, potash, uranium and oil here. Oh, and home of the 2007 Greycup Champions!!

I go to Bristol Uni in England. I come from Southport which is near Liverpool hence my terrible accent and sense of humour.
In Southport the populace are old people and violent youths ("Chavs") who beat the crap out of people with long hair (i.e. me)
In Bristol it's a lot nicer but our house is near a Chavvy district so we got burgled a few weeks ago and someone's laptop was stolen. Luckily I use a massive PC tower that you'd need a crane to get out the window so my old-skool attitude to computing saved my precious PC and it's data :)

For me, I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The province west of Kentonas, that makes us brothers, or something.
I was born in Utah and lived there until three. I then lived about 80 miles away from Las Vegas in a place named Mesquite, NV. I stayed there for about 13 years and then moved back to Utah. I've moved back and forth between Nevada and Utah but my latest Utah stint has lasted about four years now. I live about 30 minutes away from Salt Lake City.
I'm originally from Burlington, Iowa. My step-dad was in the Marines when I was younger, so we moved around a lot. That process has continued into my adult life, since I have lived New Jersey (outside of Philadelphia), New Orleans, etc. I actually just moved to Mahnomen, Minnesota a few weeks ago.
My family is originally from Chesapeake, Virginia and North Carolina. I've been all over the easten United States.

I'm originally from Surrey, a suburb of Vancouver BC.
Currently living in Chiba, Japan, about an hour out of Tokyo, and will be for a while.

I am form Kelowna, B.C (which is in Canada, not south america). Luckily enoug winters aren't too cold here, but they do get quite cold nonetheless.
I used to live in Surrey (in the Newton area, just two blocks north of the Newton Wavepool). And it's freakin' cold here - for nearly two weeks it was -35 degrees (Celcius, for all you people still stuck on Imperial measurements), and often lower than -40 with the windchill.
Speaking of which, know why it's so windy in Saskatchewan? Because Alberta blows and Manitoba sucks.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! And wow, -35? that's freezing. The worst I've had all year is about -8 celsius (my preferred system, as it should be)
I was born in Virginia, and lived there until I was about 9, when I moved to Aberdeen, Maryland. I've been liiving here ever since.
I may be going to Pennsylvania when I head to college, but I'm not sure yet.
What's funny is that half of the rest of my family is in Ohio, and the other half in South Carolina.

It's just interesting that my family is from two very different areas, and my parents met when my dad lived in Ohio and my mom lived in South Carolina.
That's what I meant

We have the most drunk drivers and drunk driving accidents in the US. Or something like that.

Surrey never usually gets below -10, I'm not really sure what you're talking about man. According to the internet, it's 6 degrees there now.
