the most underrated game the Disgae series, i am a huge fan of it and it's sprite charm has made more it fun with ATTACKS THAT THOURGHLY DESTROY MY OPPONETS the charaters can DESTROY ANYONE THAT IS NOT IN THEIR GAME if they where to fight other game charaters (they do have equals in cross edge)
Overated game: i'd have to say any game that is way to nice and ungory 3d battles

I can't really say this game is overrated just because I don't like the game anymore but Final Fantasy VIII is just a game I didn't like. I did when it came out and couldn't really comprehend how bad it is but that game is just so.. Bad. The orphanage twist lol.
Star Ocean Til the End of Time is one big piece of shit and I seriously can't see how people like that game.
Underrated game(Although it has some nice review scores) I would say Eternal Sonata. The game has an amazing score and fun gameplay, good writing and a great style of cell shaded graphics. The premise for the game is even a bit original which is short coming in todays rpgs.

Contact might be under-rated, or at least under-played. Some of the coolest bosses I've seen - one boss was like 'uh what am I doing wait what is this a boss? I think this might be a - no, it's just a strange cutscene. But it's... huh? Wait I can do damage to these things when - ACK STUPID FLOATING ORB"

I bought it because I liked Star Ocean 2. also I'm a sucker for JRPG's. what sorts of things will I hate about it? Can I offset the difficulty with gamebreaking item creation a-la Star Ocean 2 like Claude's Eternal Sphere?

The only game I currently actively play:
Kingdom of Loathing. Possibly the most hilarious, smart, and non-time consuming PC game I've ever played. Great fun.
Just the fact that my Disco Bandit can kill Pimps with his Ocarina of Space says a lot of good things about this game.

Not in the EXPERIENCE LOST SENSE but you go back to the Ship. This might not seem like a big deal but since much of the game is dungeon exploration having to figure out some tricky parts again can be annoying - but hey, you died!
Also, COOK YOUR HAT OUT and buy LOTS OF POTIONS and EAT YOUR VEGGIES. Get those temporary stat boosts while you chew your food, even stuff that has a bad HP heal rating.

SO3 is all style over substance. Story issues aside, the game is just boring as fuck.

Adn the Story is VERY OVER RATED. Sephiroth the Guy with long hair that is white with a 500000 Foot Sword. Cloud Big Sword Yellow Hair What more do you want.
Under Rated: Faxandu NES Awesomeness.
This is the 2nd best NES Game. It has better grahics that all of them.
When ever you change weapons and armor it shows diffrent weapons and armor.
And the Spells had their own INDIVUDUAL animations. AWESOME SAUCE!
