I'm no musician.

That said, I'd like S-S to have 100% original resources, just as my previous project did. However, having a devoted musician for a project seems a little unlikely, seeing as Relyt is taking a break due to my incessant whip cracking. Moreover, this blog post has me thinking I want to have the music before I create the scenes, not vice-versa.

Therefore, I'm looking for anyone who's interested. Just select a request you'd like to take a crack at, and take a crack at it. MIDI format preferred.

====================
FORMAT:
ID# - Name of track (link to example)
Description of usage.
Description of intended feel.

01-Monster Ritual
The primary battle theme for monsters and other such things.
Hoping for some very raw percussion; very primitive and unrefined, if that makes sense.

02-Battle Ritual
The battle theme for non-plot relevant warriors; often mooks or sparring partners.
Not nearly as rock as this, but hopefully maintaining the same rushing feel.

03-Boss Ritual
The battle theme for major warriors, such as war-chiefs and the like.
I'd like to see a lot more of the deep drum than in the example. Hopefully not as Scottish.

04-Lady's Honor
The battle theme that plays during fights pertaining to your chosen love interest.
Definitely a very knightly theme, more medieval than the tribal beats called for in 01 and 02.

05-Conqueror-Chieftain
The battle theme for fighting Sera, the Conqueror-Chieftain of the Clan of the Moon.
Sera is pretty much the baddest muthafugga in the game, short of uberbosses and the final boss. This theme should reflect that.

06-Hunter-Chieftain
The battle theme for fighting Sigmund, the Hunter-Chieftain of the Clan of the Earth.
A rather sad and desperate theme, denoting the end of something that needn't have ended.

07-Divine-Chieftain
The battle theme for fighting Gregor, the Divine-Chieftain of the Clan of the Sun.
It should be really otherworldly and bizarre. Not quite Mother-series bizarre, but bizarre.

08-Lover-Chieftain
The battle theme for fighting Sanova, the Lover-Chieftain of the Clan of the Stars.
A theme for loss. Rather sad, rather remorseful, rather vengeful.

09-The Greatest Adversary
The theme for the final boss of Spirit-Stone.
This is a fight where asses will be handed to their owners. Age and ancientness should be stressed.

10-Clan of Famine
The area theme for those places involving the clan that is dying off of starvation.
A dark, somber theme, signifying slow deaths.

11-Clan of Woe
The area theme for those places involving the clan without leadership.
A plain, unfeeling tune; little emotion of any sort should be present.

12-Clan of Wrath
The area theme for those places involving the clan that intends to conquer all.
Militant and intimidating. Serious business is meant here.

13-Clan of Pride
The area theme for those places involving the clan that wishes to meet the Gods.
Very regal and uptight. Almost ballroom music.

14-Warrior's Lodge
The theme for the player's home Clan.
A kicked-back, leisurely feel should do nicely.

15-Lurking Malice
The theme that plays during standoffs and such. Also plays before boss fights.
Definitely should feel to be leading to some sort of climax (such as an upcoming battle).

16-Flickering Hope
A theme that plays when a part of the world isn't completely crapsack. Also plays in shrines and such.
Hoping for a more ethereal feel, helping distiguish against the more "earthy" tone of the rest of the game.

17-Depressing Sadness
The theme that plays at the end of some mission threads, depending on their outcome.
A sad, slow, reverent theme will do nicely.

18-Fate Is To Be Discarded
The theme that plays during major turning points in the story.
A climatic theme, suiting both field and battle, since it will play through both.

19-Main Theme
Obviously, plays at the title and other "main" screens.
An understated, calm tune would work nicely.

STYLE NOTES

Spirit-Stone is intended to have a very tribal feel to it. The color pallette will have a lot of muted greens and browns, and there will be much talk of spirits and clan members and warriors and chieftains.

That said, the examples for 01, 03, and 09 are closest to what I'm looking for. You'll notice that the majority of the examples have very dissimilar instrumentation and style. I'm not opposed to dissonance in some tracks, but the examples are mainly for feel.

====================

Well, I hope that made sense. Go ahead and ask any questions you need to ask in order to get a piece right.
Midi format preferred? Grrrr...

Anyways, I might have a shot.
I might make a few songs for this just for giggles.

Is this that card game thing you're making?

Actually, I think I'm gonna take this on. I'll post later.

EDIT: Finished Tracks 1-9
I have finished! Expect the full OST soon!

Hey, I'm a music student and if all goes well, I should actually be taking a midi-composition class next semester, so if you still need tunes then, I'll make some for you! :D

Speaking of, why'd you revive this thread when you could be watching the other one.
