Lock the topic? God no! I find the dysphemisms spiraling out of control to be endlessly amusing!
Priceless! Everything you said about our collective creativity is quite true next to that =)
Don't get me wrong here. I don't have any history with you unlike folks here. I agree with the gist of what you're saying. You spend time and money on stuff, you're dedicated to it, You Get Knocked Down, But You Get Up Again, We Ain't Ever Gonna Keep You Down, etc. You advertise to hell and back, you have viewers and subscribers, and those numbers will grow. No one will compete with you because no one has the drive to do so, and you'll be on top. And, it's a good idea, as others have demonstrated with LP channels.
All this is fact, no amount of arguing or dislike of your attitudes will change it.
It really only turned into a flame war because people don't like you, and you give them a reason not too. Some people have a history with you guys, and some people can't deal with egomaniacal freaks. Just because your attitudes suck doesn't make you wrong, I know better than that.
Here's a couple of thoughts from perusing this thread.
Currently, you are not talented. You work hard, and you will improve, but right now the quality of your production is minimal. English is not your first language (I assume by the omission of certain words and slurring that sounds distinctly Asian, but I could be wrong). You will improve with that, too. Your title is too dark and poorly made. Lens flares died a decade ago.
It would be quite easy for many, including myself, to create a better production in less time and with fewer resources. However, many, including myself, don't have the drive or desire, so keep at it, but try to improve with little to no competition instead of remaining stale.
Next, the majority of games on RMN are not fangames or use commercial characters. They use commercial resources like graphics and music. I know this doesn't mean much in the grand scope of video game creation, but on the other hand, if we need to use resources that we can't otherwise create (I'm no artist, for example), does that really qualify us as "unimaginative fuckwits?" Hint, that's a rhetorical question. It's an unofficial creed around here that we use what resources we can so that we can focus on those aspects of game making that we CAN be creative with. So, in a sense, I guess you could say that we are overcoming obstacles to our creativity, and not letting a thing like not being able to draw original sprites keep us down from achieving our goals. That's a good attitude to have, don't you think?
Hint: That's another rhetorical question.
Most of all, I have considered the reason no one has the drive to do what you're doing, despite being far more talented. This is what I have concluded:
No one cares.
Again, don't get me wrong. 600 of one thing and over 100 of another thing are great numbers, I mean, the math of how many times I'd need to re-use my fingers to reach those numbers is mind-boggling (no, I'm not dumb, it's a lot harder when you're missing one or two fingers, ok?).
On the other hand, I could use the video camera on my cell phone to record myself armpit-farting the Super Mario Bros. theme and get a couple million hits within a week.
Just throwing that out there. Don't stop, get better!
If I'm egotistical you guys are nothing but heads.. up your own asses.. regurgitating shit in each others mouths... while vomiting together in unison

THANK YOU! That is the summary of how I feel in a nutshell.
Even if I am not good or the best, the road to success is paved with failures. Its not an issue of "Am I the good" its "how hard do I want to try to be good."
I think I got banned on a good note with that post. Thanks, I promise that when the first episode is released you will definitely be in the credits. The rest of you guys... meh.. Yeah, I got the fire I needed from you. That certain "I'll show all you bastards how good I am" push I needed from the negativity.
You're still douchebags, but, whatever.
You are banned, Rose. You are never allowed back here. We gave you a chance by clearing the bans, and you showed to us why we banned you in the first place.
