WE DID IT FIRST SCREENSHOT THREAD

The colors are much more vibrant instead of being dull looking like the previous, and your mapping is always good man, so no complaints here.
Top looks better, Blind. Better get to editing! =)

Initial victory screen for IGL battles. Not much too it. Also it's a pain trying to shove information into windows when you're dealing with those faces.

That looks like the most hardcore RPG ever WIP, needing 9999999 exp to get to lvl 2? brutal ):
Also top for blindmind.
Also top for blindmind.
@Blindmind- Love the map. My preference would be the bottom one. The colours don't really suit it in the top.
@Wip- Oh, a challenging game. Very challeging. Looks good anyway. :)

@BlindMind: I am not sure about the first one. The colors seem fake or something, I can't really put my finger on it. Mainly the dirt and cliffs. Looks nice though, good map.
@WIP: Looks really nice. If I had to say one thing though, the color of the green text doesn't stand out enough next to the white one. I imagine you want the white text to stand out more, but I think just a slight adjustment to bring it out a bit more would look nice.

Well, I like the top once cause the water actually looks a lot better than the bottom pic's water. That's the only thing that look like it made a difference.
He's just testing it out guys, that's not the real experience curve haha. Looks very stylish and clean WIP, everything looks great EXCEPT the faces don't mesh well for me, unless it's just a temp.
BTW, why'd you post it twice.. on the same page?
Edit - Opps, you added the EXP and GOLD at the top haha.

I keep hearing people say press "print screen" for when taking a screenshot, but I don't know where it goes... So, I am using Screenhunter if it seems a little off to you, then that's why.
Anyways, just a picture of the "uping attribute" system I am making for my game or just for the hell of it really...

I say it is about 70 to 80 percent finished. This is something big for me as I stopped being lazy an actually tried to figure something out.

The printscreen key works like a "copy" command. So when you press printscreen, your computer clipboard has a picture of whatever is currently onscreen. You then go into an image editor (Microsoft Paint would be fine) and paste it in. It works just like copying and pasting text.
If you hold Alt and then press printscreen, it will only copy what is in the current window rather than the whole screen. This is very useful for taking screenshots of homebrew games.

It's a good start. I recommend you add some text and stuff so that the player knows what he is doing. You can just put the text down as tiles or sprites (I assume that you are using the "fake windows on a map" method).

wow, you are just like me. I stopped being lazy when i decided to design a custom battle and menu system. Now i have gone back to being lazy.
Anyway, it looks good. I would just add some text or something else like brandon said.

Hah. Everyone uses those icons. That and Fire emblem faces. 'Cept I did before it was cool. ;)
@Bradon: My computer has a clipboard? Meh, I've explored my computer but apprently I have explored enough. >_<;
@Bradon % DemonD: Yeah, I was thinking about that, but if I do make a game with this in it I'll just give an option of a tutorial for the player to choose.
@Harmonic: Lol. It's what started it all. XD

You gonna fill those empty spaces with anything? Right now it look too plain with all the text and what not.

:(
What I am saying is:
The printscreen key does the same thing for pictures that the copy command does for text.

Arielle is looking manly these days.
I might have to work this into my Third Power slash fanfiction.
I thought I'd break into this thread with a couple maps I've completed. Nothing eye-poppingly gorgeous, but not total crap either.

This is near the entrance of the field. In between towns, I put fairly large field maps for leveling and gathering purposes. I keep it limited to where you can go so you don't get lost. While you won't be able to roam freely, it'll reward those that diverge from the main road.

This is from the last area of the game. I hope the second floor doesn't look too awkward.
Note: If you run to the top of the map, you'll see I totally stole the layout example on the FSM site. But it's just that portion I took. 8)

The balconies in that second shot are pretty confusing to the eye. The top shot is pretty good.
Sweet maps republic. The top one looks good although i think the ruins at the top don't seem to blend in well. Other than that it's good.
