The battle system is SO stolen from Dragon Quest IV and V for the DS.

I really hope they at least have a good method for sharing games rather than "you can only share with friends who you've exchanged friend codes with. Oh, and you can only have 20 friends."
Friendcodes restrict the online element of Nintendo's consoles but I never found 20 friends to exchange FCs with. Where do you get so many friends? o_0
Yeah this is like making an all RTP VX game ironically, except on your DS where no one can play it. Basically you just have less control, less graphical options, and you're restricted to everything they give you. I'd love to be able to save rm games to R4 or something though, and have it able to work.
Yeah that's VX art and the VX style. Also, ditto WIP's "ding ding ding" for facesets - the actual tiles are the VX ones.
EDIT: Shit I have Karsu. USELESS

On the number of players it said '1 - 2 players' so maybe it's possible to play it together with your friend through wifi?

You can make your own resources.

DS emulators work pretty well now. People can play games like Scribblenauts so RPG Maker DS should be no problem. Of course you need to extract the .sav file but that's where the Action Replay duo comes in (if you have that).

Making games your games on handheld/console is pretty stupid on it's own.
Pretty much my feelings too on this.
post=102209RPG Tsukuru DS comes with over 800 character-building parts, 1500 map parts, over 150 pieces of music, and everything else you need to get rolling immediately.That...isn't bad at all.
It's nothing when compared to infinity.

Writing down anything past 4 letters on there was a pain. Imagine doing that for paragraphs of text.
Making a game on the PC and being able to release on a DS is good, but not MAKING it on the DS. That's a stupid idea why does Enterbrain constantly have stupid ideas
I think that making games on the DS would be a cool idea, but I'd rather just be able to play an RPG Maker game on it. The only way I could see this as successful is that two versions could be released (the PC and DS.) and you could transfer the game via SD card. Of course that would require a DSi and the money for both programs, so like that's going to happen.
I agree with you guys on that one. Famitsu have uploaded several screenshots which give you a rough idea of how it'll function.

Just saw that it has predictive typing so I guess Enterbrain did realise this problem.

Alright! I'm going to make my own games! Then I'm going to play my own games!
There isn't much expandability here...
Either way, I'll get it on my R4 and give it a try.

Me too.
There is no way I would want to purchase something like this, but those resources look nice. I hope someone rips them soon when it's released.
I found this article on 1Up the other day, as well.
I actually posted about it on RPG Crisis before Elemental Crisis did!
HAH!
lol
Anyway.
Sure. Console 'Makers have failed in the past...
But, EB hasn't ever developed one for a console...have they.
You can't speak for the success of one developer's game by the failure of other developers, now can you?
:P
I, personally, think it looks promising.
Lots of neat features to play with. Not the mention, it will be neat to see how the stylus/dual-screens will play out.
I'm really hoping for a US release on this.

Except that Agetec is just a figurehead in North America and maybe Europe, and Enterbrain is the actual developer of RPG Maker 2 (really RPG Maker 5) & 3 for PS2, at least. Before that, it was ASCII for those RPG Makers.
So, in fact, possibly up to 6 RPG Makers have been developed for consoles, and 3 for portables. This would be the fourth.

someone should write an iphone app that plays RM games
this actually wouldn't be that hard, methinks.
