Midnight Realm by Anaryu!

Congrats to those who participated and those who actually voted!
Contest here for those who were late for the show.
Ah, to be honest, I don't really agree with the game that won, but Anaryu is a cool dude, so, congratulations, Anaryu!
My favorite was the mummy game, but I couldn't vote.
Congrats Anaryu! This brings the number of times you have beaten me in game contests to two and I am already anticipating a third loss with a mixture of dread and shame. Big ups to all the other entrants as well =lB^)>l-< (uncle sam giving you dapp)
Oh, man what a fail for me. I was beaten by an absolutely unspooky game... and have to share number 2 with a game which has crappy graphic. But now that the contest is over and I can't influence anybody anymore, I will give you my personal ranking for this contest:
1. Nightmare Fear (because it was the only spooky game in the contest and has lots of blood, I also liked the game idea although it was damn frustrating and I was raging while playing and couldn't beat it without help)
2. Midnight Realm (graphics were nice, but I still don't like games like this. That there was a story besides the main gameplay was nice, but I had wished that the boy moves his mouth while speaking or something. The gurl was sexy.)
3. Pumpkin Night (nice graphics, but the game was very simple as well as the gameplay.)
4. Hallow's Eve (the graphic and mapping were very weak, it had a little bit of spooky atmosphere, but not very much... the idea of finding the murderer was the only thing I liked about this game)
5. Twenties Flappers vs. The Mummy (boring long texts and extremely crappy graphics, I didnt like this one. The jokes were the best about this one, but in my eyes this was simply no game which fits to Halloween)
So now, winner have fun with the money as far as you do even live in the USA and can use Doller. ;-)

I voted Twenties Flappers vs the Mummy, but Midnight Realm deserved a win. If the game wasn't broken it could easily have been a great casual hit. I would suggest developing the concept a bit more and make it playable unless you have other stuff that you'd rather work on. Because I think Midnight Realm has some great possibilities.
It just doesn't work right now.

Can we have the exact voting result please? I would like to know how many votes I got and how far I was behind Midnight Realm.
If I may put in my own personal tidbit, I'm a bit surprised that so many people voted for midnight realm despite the fact that the gameplay is broken... if you randomly alternate clicks of left and right mouse while mashing z, x, y, you will beat the game.
You didn't win.
@catmitts: We both need to get on something with more time; these super short contests really limit how far we can take our ideas and I was honestly expecting you to pull first place this time around!
This win mostly goes to my artist, getting hospitalized cut out more of my time than expected, but she kept plowing through the artwork.

dude, ego the fuck down. :/
Dude, when you take place in a contest you try to win, don't you? I mean I AM satisfied with being number 2 out of 6. That's of course not bad. But after all in my opinion a Halloween game should be spooky which not many participants tried here.
And by the way: You should vote for the game you liked most, and not for the game who's author you liked most, is that right, Digital_Monk?

WIPThat's why I was asking. Some sort of ''Consolation prize'' maybe for the guys who did not win? Or as I mentioned above some banners or signatures in gold, silver and bronze for the first 3 entries? I mean even if I HAD won I hadn't get any prize cause I can't use Dollers since I'm from Europe.
You didn't win.

Dude, when you take place in a contest you try to win, don't you?
If I'm ever going to compete in anything, I do it because it'll be fun, not because I want or need to win. Furthermore, I don't try to win. If I'm good enough at whatever I'm doing, yeah, I'll probably win. If not, it was fun anyway, and my best to whomever won.
Of course. As I said: I knew that I couldn't even use the prize for the 1st place, because I can't use Dollers here in Europe. So if I had won they had to give the money to the 2nd place anyway --> I DID it for the fun. But I still tried to win as well. You can do both: Having fun and trying to win. ;-)
post=104627Not part of the entry requirements though... If I had submitted something that was what I intended, it would've been silly rather than creepy.

post=104627You may notice there are no signatures or banners on the site at all.

Edit:
My personal order:
1. Til Death Do Us Part - thought it was fun
2. TWENTIES FLAPPERS VS THE MUMMY - great writing
3. Hallow's Eve - Better than the rest at least =P, decent writing
4. Midnight Realm - felt like the game was broken
5. Nightmare 4 (Fear) - ugh, way too annoying and kind of buggy
6. Pumpkin Night - what, no
