DON'T MIND ME, JUST WATCHING MOVIES

I guess I can understand since you're POV is on a swedish side. What are some good swedish movies though?
Ingmar Bergman?
Also, "Sånger från Andra Våningen" (Songs from the Second Floor), some might recommend "Låt den rätte komma in" (It's alright I guess), Fyra nyanser av brunt/four shades of brown (comedy, mostly), "Körkarlen" (silent movie). "Ondskan" was based on a book and is a very good movie.
Apart from Bergman (whom we all henceforth will refer to as "God") and Körkarlen, the movies I mentioned are pretty typical for swedish cinema (not including crime-thrillers) but are actually good. I'd recommend some pretty good comedies (more than just four shades of brown, since it has more content than just being hilarious) but I'm not sure about those translations :/ (Torsk på Tallinn amongst others).
I always feel like a pretentious film critic if I watch an Ingmar Bergman movie. Though I liked Persona.
Man, there was a sale at Barnes & Noble. Nearly every Criterion movie was 50% off. I coulda gotten so many movies, but I settled on The Human Condition, since it was originally $80 and got marked down to $40, and is apparently considered THE greatest movie ever made.
Bad Education was pretty good. Not my favorite Almodovar movie, a little too grisly to be a favorite, but I still liked it. Dunno what his obsession with transsexuals is. >_>
I'm thinking The Omega Man tonight.

We all do, sadly. Doesn't change the fact that they're mostly excellent movies though.
The Seventh Seal was at Barnes & Noble for fairly cheap, I should go back there soon... Oh dear I already feel a sneer coming and my arms are crossed and I'm drinking javaccinos!
The Omega Man was alright. Better than Will Smith I Am Legend, I'd say, but maybe that's just because I like Mr. Heston more. Still not the best post-apcololicticy thing, and I'm pretty sure they took some liberties with the novel's story, changing around some messages. Still, I like Charlton Heston.
Waltz with Bashir maybe? I'm not sure if I'll even watch a movie tonight.

The fountain of blood stuck out the most to me (not because of the JESUS symbolism, but because a fountain of blood is really friggin badass), but yeah character-wise white-black guy was great. Mostly because it's a white-black vampire thing with a gun.
Was the Vincent Prince I am Legend movie (Last Man on Earth) any good?
I've been unfortunately slowing down on my movie watching lately. Damn school. But I bought The Sword of Doom, Memories, The 400 Blows, and The Human Condition recently, so that ought to inspire me to watch some more.

The Vincent Price one is good, if a little old and tired now. Still, it's VINCENT MOTHERFUCKING PRICE. Vincent Price is always amazing.
Now where is Darken backing me up on this...

The Film Festival's going on here, so i saw a couple of films on the big screen i wouldnt've otherwise been able to.
I saw Ponyo yesterday, and it was the cutest, most heartwarming thing i've seen in a long long time. It sounds like it would be disturbing("a fish with a girls head" ...) but it was actually pulled off so well.
It made me feel so :)
Though i did :'( at one point during it, which was a bit wierd, i havent cried during a film since i saw...something long ago. I actually felt happy at the time too, maybe i'm going crazy.
I also saw Angel's Egg which was just...wierd. It definitely left me thinking(which is an incredible feat)
Amazing animation though (Y)

Man shit I just saw Heat for the second time, still blows me away. I almost never rewatch movies oddly enough. Do you guys?
boobledeeboo: Ponyo was cute. Probably the kiddiest Studio Ghibli movie yet. I liked it, but it wasn't their best. And Angel's Egg looks interesting, I'll have to check it out eventually.
Darken: I never ever get tired of watching Lost in Translation. Garden State is my :3 movie, Eternal Sunshine is my ;_; movie, and nearly all of Wong Kar-Wai's movies are somewhere between those three.
Watched Perfect Blue last night, because I wanted to watch something fucked up. And it was. I liked how they didn't go with a generic plot twist, which I was so sure they were going to do. They sort of still did, but in a unique way that I don't mind as much. I remember hearing about this movie when I was like ten, and was told to be wary of a lengthy rap scene. Now I realize that was probably rape, not rap.
My friend and I were going to go see The Blind Side last weekend, but luckily it was sold out, so we saw Fantastic Mr. Fox instead. It was awesome. Like, seriously, it has everything going for it. I can't think of any considerable flaws.
Oh, and I watched V for Vendetta on Sunday! It was neat-o. Natalie Portman is a great actress, she is. Ignoring Star Wars.
Haven't decided what to watch tonight, though I do want to watch something...
I bought The Bird with the Crystal Plumage over the weekend. Planning on inviting the boy I like to watch it with me. >:3 Giallo movies aren't as fun to watch alone, as great as they are.
