ALRIGHT, I NEED A LITTLE HELP.

I am making a game using RPG Maker 2003, and I need a little help with a slight problem I can't figure out.

In my game, I want my characters to switch what they look like in battle when equipped with a different set of weapons.

Example: My character is wielding a one handed sword, which they have raised and rested on their shoulders, behind their head. If I equip a two-handed weapon to that character, like a bastard sword or great sword, I want the battle sprite to switch their pose so that they are holding it behind them, blade tip resting on the ground.

I am fairly new to RPG Maker 2003, so please feel free to smack me across the head if this is painfully obvious to the average user XD.

EDIT: My sprites are made, by the way.
If you aren't using the class system, you can make a class for every weapon. Each class can have its own animation group. Just have an common event that changes the hero's class when he equips a new sword.

Note: You can still use this method if you are using the class system, it just gets complicated because it'll be classes x weapons x characters = LOT OF CLASSES

lol. Before you said this I believed in the sprite theory of evolution.

All sprites are the result of a guy letting his computer sit with a big random group of pixels for millions of years. After that period of time, those pixels somehow came together to form complex and beautiful sprites.

Oddly enough... http://rpgmaker.net/games/1064/

In reply to topic: I am afraid that I don't have anything else to add to what Drakonais has already said.

Edit: Whoops

Fix that link - it takes me to manage my games.

Thank you, Drakonais!
Alright, now I have a request.

The sprites that I made are sorta bad. They look horrible when I am playing at them and when they move, so I was going to ask the community to help me with making some new hero sprites (7 out of battle and 7 in battle. 3 characters will have different costumes in the game, that is why i need so much).

I really need help with this. If you need descriptions of the characters, just ask.

P.S. Fell free to smack me for asking this, too ^_^u

You'll definitely want something substantial to show for your project before anyone is likely to take any sort of request.
Yeah, I guess your right.

I am currently working on the maps and other things, but I hope to have something up for it by next week, if not later.
