Is anyone else playing these? There's two out in the west now and four in Japan. I love the art, the story and the riddles are really fun and sometimes quite difficult for me. I'm also using them for Japanese practice, but I'm sure they'd be fun regardless.

Like? Dislike? These games and Dragon Quest IX have made me a big Level-5 fan.
Surprisingly it's a very fun group game, I remember at my old highschool I'd ask my friend or someone else for help on a certain puzzle and there would just be this small gathering where we'd all brainstorm through the puzzles. Don't know if anyone else had the same experience. So yeah they are awesome games, though I am too busy playing Contra 4 and HARDCORE ACTION GAMES on my DS right now to check out pandora's box or w/e it's called.
I bought my wife The Diablo Box for xmas and she finished it by new years. I have recently bought her the first Curious Village one and she is also loving it.
It is awesome, though I only play it in short bursts because if there's a particularly tough puzzle I'll quit in frustration and not work up the enthusiasm to pick it up again for a while. Still awesome though.
i think unless you're a really quick quitter, it's hard not to like Professor Layton. It's so gosh-darned charming!
And everything about it works together. The art style is brilliant, and the difficulty of the puzzles is well balanced.
Played the two that were released over here and loved them both. Solved all the puzzles (the most difficult ones I needed help on; hint coins were a must at those times) but I found the game to be very compulsive. The background story was very interesting as well which helped with the addiction factor.

Canuck, I am jealous of you. I wish I was able to understand Dragonquest 9
My wife thought the story was retarded and the characters annoying and just wanted to play the puzzles.
Just beat The Diabolical Box. Bring on The Last Time Travel!

I liked the characters to some extent. They didn't talk too much and they brought on puzzles. And the ending to Curious Village was mind blowing. (Mind blowingly good or bad? Still to this day I am not sure. But it was mind blowing.)

Uh yeah I loved them. I don't know why I picked up Curious Village, but I was so very hyped for Pandora's Box(Which came out a month before the other game I was hyped for, Scribblenauts. Unlike Scribblenauts however, I was satisfied by it.)
