MP3IFY.COM: NOW THIS IS PRETTY NIFTY!
Posts
I found this website that can turn music from things like Youtube videos into actual MP3s that you can download. That's pretty badass if you ask me.

Check this out for sure.

I didn't do it...I'm just telling you guys about it.
Really though, it's just a way for lazy or poor people to get music.

That and ripping + encoding the audio myself is easier, personally. As an added bonus, you also get the video.

Wow...that's pretty interesting as well. I suppose the only reason to use MP3ify would be to have just the music to like put it on your iPod or something. =/
Enjoy your horrible-quality rips! ~_~
(to be fair, I am guilty of this sort of thing, but only as a last resort....)

So far...most of the songs I've downloaded have exceptional quality, the MP3 is just as good/bad as the audio in the video...and most of the videos I've used have good sound quality.
Mitsuhide: You might not notice it, but YouTube's audio quality is purposefully low, both for streaming performance and for copyright concerns. If the quality is acceptable for you, than that's fine =) It can be handy for songs you can't identify, at least.
@ S. F. LaValle - I guess I haven't noticed. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I guess it's cause I have a high tolerance for most anything. I find the audio quality on YouTube good; I suppose not the best ever, but still good. I've MP3ified some songs from there already, and they sound acceptable--so, yeah, I guess I like I said before--must be because of my high tolerance. =P

When viewed in HQ mode, the video and audio are actually on an acceptable level as far as quality is concerned. However, it's still littered with compression artifacts and YT rips are pretty much a last resort.

I use Zamzar and it's not a lazy thing that way IMO and poor people that appreciate good music prefer to torrent higher quality OST (i.e. pirate) so I dunno where that's come from.
I have to say that the sound quality of something rarely causes me to turn a blind eye towards it. Video quality, yes, but not sound.
...and I feel like I have to say this because everyone seems to be hating on YouTube.

A song costs 70p on Itunes so I rarely look for other methods. If you're looking for like 30 songs don't buy them all in one go if you're poor.

that's because your ears are clearly made from wax
Well, I rarely clean them... >.> but I don't see what that matters.
Also, I use iTunes as well...but it's not like you can get video game music from iTunes.
