CloseA silly question: how do you make a RM game run without having RTP installed? I've seen a couple games that run without needing extra files. I want to play some of these RM games on another computer and don't really want to install anything if I don't have to.

Perhaps this will help. You'll find a lot of questions can be answered by searching around the site a little! If you meant you wanted to play one yourself without having the RTP at all, there's no way to do that as the game will lack the proper graphics and sound, unless the game maker used the procedure outlined in that tutorial. A simple google search will turn up the RTP though.

Okay, the website itself does not have any apps or anything to make games online, but you can download RPG Maker (Insert series here) or get the other software like ika
Click on the Engines section to find out where you can download and acquire various makers. My recommendation is RMVX, which is an easy-to-use point and click RPG Maker, has a trial version, has an official english translation, and is only $60.

- you can get those engines which are here on the site legally (some cost money, others don't)
- you can't get RM2000 and RM2003 legally nor for money nor on this site (only illegally and free via google search)
Yeah, it's that simple. (Don't ask me about RMp5. I have no clue if that one is legal, but you don't care for it anyway.)
