can't make a bad game if you don't finish any games

They are out of ten currently (it's just in increments of 0.5). I don't think we need a system out of 20 or 100 or whatnot.
I like the idea of having a spot on the main page for recently added downloads and one for the community/staffs top picks.

An okay example is that completely as a player, not a developer, I tried to use the site's "Games" page function to find a fun RMVX game to play.

This is a trick statement.

I like the idea of recently added downloads and/or recently completed games.

recently completed games.

You can set the filters to 'Status: Completed' and 'Sort: Date Updated' to do this

(recently added downloads on the other hand...)

Unless you want games ordered based on when they become complete instead of when they were last updated. Then yeah, you're sol
I wanted games ordered based on when they become completed.

EDIT:
And it need not be an auto-populated field, as someone who completed a game years ago might decide to post their game on RMN. If it is auto-populated it would be misleading.
The only problem with relying on the rating filters that I have noticed is that reviews can be used to 'top' a game or 'fell' it, as it were. And let me add that some of the older reviews don't have any 'score' because at that time the reviewee couldn't or didn't add one. Take thunderdraco's reviews - none of them have any 'scores' and he is no longer here. Thus there are about 10 games that have reviews with no stars, even though said reviews may be positive.

Ratings are only a general guide, and there may be some games that have no rating that may be worth trying.

And I point this out because, yes, I am one of the affected.

About the reviews. These two reviews apply only to an old demo version. If I release a final version is there some way to make these old reviews not affect the final score?
