I'm writing an article for a new site www.freewarehub.net about the different tools used to make freeware games. RPGMaker of course is a popular one, but I have never used it. Is is possible for someone to write a quick 5 or 6 line neutral description describing what it is is capable of/how easy it to use/pros and cons etc?
Also if anyone wants a bit more exposure by having their game in the preview/release section email me the info at hatsu@freewarehub.net and I'll put it up.

Have you tried looking up in Wikipedia? Or you can always visit the official sites of those game makers. BTW, some people might think that we're the same person ...

I'm going to use wiki if I can't get people to write anything, but it would be nice to get users' opinions instead of towing the official line or something that is too technical.
Okay then, in a nutshell...

RMXP has best mapping, RMVX does not.

This. I seriously just can't bring myself to use XP because VX's database is about 6,000% better.
They both even each other out, really. VX has a more organized database, but the limited tiles is a turnoff.
