also i find it hilarious that people are griping about a walking animation in a few seconds of teaser of a game that isn't finished yet

The Sonic series was never that good. The control was always a bit clunky.

Eh. I'm fine with the new design. Sonic isn't really the type of character that is supposed to look too cute. The slimmer, lankier appearance that is current makes him seem much more mature and athetic than the two-and-half head tall Felix the Cat rip-off.
