My biggest video game disappointment was Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, WORST ENDING EVER! I spent like, 7 hours on that game and everything that happened in that game was just a dream. WORST RPG EVER!
none of the zelda games have a good plot anyways? like seriously, what were you expecting
post=124921post=124828Because the feel of the game was entirely different, jackass.post=124030So.. Because they didn't look like zombies, the game was automatically shit? That's some awesome reasoning their man!
RE4, hands down. The only reason I play RE was zombies. I was so sad.
Yeah sorry bout that, I was kinda drunk at the time.. Hell I don't even remember posting that. Now that I think about it, half the posts Ive been making recently have been under some kind of influence,
Fable 2 was a huge disappointment for me even thought I love the game. I know it doesn't make sense but it is as I have told.
Dragonball Z raging blast. (I'm a huge dragonball/z fan)
I was expecting it to surpass tenkaichi 3 but it didn't even come close.

I think you mean Atelier Iris. Most Gust games are pretty much identical, though, so it's easy to mix them up.
Whoops! That was one bad Freudian Slip, been checking out Ar Tonelico 3 I got them mixed up ahaha D: Thanks!

I have to agree.
I did enjoy playing it, but it just didn't live up to my expectations.

No problem, man. I've been wishing my posts were under the influence, but I have a small obstacle to that. Damn court system.

Contact.
What were you expecting? I think Contact lives up to everything it promised to be.
post=125084This! The Valkryie Profile game on the DS wasn't very good either IMO
Sands of Destruction
post=123878It blew. Hard.
I'm not sure if this is the MOST disappointing, but it's up there: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.
The sassy cool prince, entralling setting and interesting level design from the first (amazing) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time game was gone and replaced with a generic hardcore emo man-child with speed metal music and boring hack-n-slash gameplay. Boo.
It came back with the sequel on the Wii though. Ass kicking, but with more ass kicking because of stealth executions. The prince seems kind of just... aggravated throughout the whole game though. And the Dark Prince was a huge prick during the first boss when I was starting to get the hang of the controls (There was never less then 60 ways of jumping somewhere, I shit you not.).The story was sub par, and some game mechanics could've been improved.
Spore on the other hand, was like a shit, but on a CD. Few parts to select from, terrible game play and a shit bomb of bugs, this game sucked compared to what the projectile ad-vomited at me when I bought the creature creator. The actual grueling through the game was a joke too. You got WMDs halfway through civilization stage and could pay for them almost the second you get them.
Let's not forget My Sims. First Sims game I played.Last one I'll play, aside from Sim City.

FFTA.
It's like FFT, but with a lobotomy.
I have avoided playing it out of fear of this very possibility.
The only problem with FFTA was the miss-factor on casting spells. It was annoying as hell when something like Cure could miss as often as an arrow in FFT.
However, it was a fun little game in it's own way.
Can't really see it being your truly most disappointing game, since the battle system holds up to FFT pretty well. The Judge system further complicated things, even!
Most disappointing game, is like... the first PS2 Tomb Raider game. Or the new Monkey Island game (Tales of Monkey Island?)

Friendly spells never miss in FFTA, just offensive skills like Firaga. :/
Dragon Ages: Origins
I expected it to be so fantastic, that it couldn't satisfy me in the end. It's a good game, and the world is yet again great (as expected of bioware), the battle and character advancment is fine, and all in all it is a very polished RPG from a technical point of view, but it just couldn't get me into the "ooh...aah...what comes next?" mood, like mass effect 1-2, jade empire or KOTOR. The story was devoid of any suprising elements, the only thing making the game serious and dark,is that there is a barrel of blood in every enemy, that happens to spill on your characters, even the ones which happen to stand afar from the fight. Oh and every decision you make is "grey". That's actually well done...but that alone won't make a dark fantasy. The characters, the world, the sidequests, the music, and the origin stories are good, but there is something missing. Something what would bring these puzzle pieces together and make them into a part of a great whole...
Okay, I'm sure everybody gets the pont, so Ill stop with the poetic speech.
