COMMENT NOTICES REMOVED

I totally agree with this decision. I don't think the feature worked out as planned. If you are subscribed to a game that gets a lot of comments like Hero's Realm the traffic can become quickly overwhelming. It generates a lot of unnecessary clutter (imagine getting a notice every time someone responded to a topic you posted in). Perhaps there will be ways to fine tune it in the future, but for now I consider it an annoyance.
However, I would hope that the developer's can still opt-in to receive comment notifications as it helps them keep tabs on their game page, especially ones that don't receive a lot of comments and thus may be unmonitored otherwise.
I like reading new comments. Maybe you could just sort the Notices inbox, separating comments from images added, blog entries, new downloads, etc.
The notices were re-implemented and will soon be a bit more customizable than they are now. In the future, you will be able to specify if you want all comments from a game to generate notices.
OR, the new default will be that you are only given a notice after you have already commented on whatever the item in question is.

You will ALWAYS be notified for those.

I'm liking the sounds of this.
*Applause*
WIP, maybe have it notify you only once when new comments have been added, and then only update that single notification.
Say you post a picture, and then 8 people comment on it.
Then, the website should give you one notification that links to the image. Such as:
"(8) new replies in _image_ for _project_".

This is a good idea. Especially if full customization is too buggy to implement.
So... Are the comment notices on or off now? I'd like to know if I have to hunt down comments or be notified of them. Not that I ever get comments... So it would be useful to know if I do!
If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it....................
I never had a problem with how notices were handled before, but whatever is best for the site, I suppose.

my 158 pages of notices would like a word with you
It seems your experience with the Notifications is proportional to how much of your life you spend on RMN. Despite having some 46 subscriptions, I was rarely overwhelmed by the volume of notices due to the fact that I was on RMN like 8 hrs a day every day (except weekends).
Sometimes I'd come back after a weekend to about 3 pages of notices.

This is a terrible decision. It's hard to keep track of all the places where you might get a comment. This function should be restored.
It already has been you goon ;(

Why is this a problem? You don't have to click on every single notification, just the pages. If the flashing is annoying then a "Mark all as seen" button would solve this.
Maybe notifcations should only store 50 pages and new notifications overwrite the old ones. Also, I have never once looked at my notices if I didn't have any new ones, perhaps there is no need to store them at all?

whoa do I really have 160 pages of notices? Jeez.
