I don't know where else to post but I thought I'll ask here :P
Last Saturday, I was called over by my auntie to work help her with the preparations for her son's b-day party. And well, we were supposed to sleep at 1:30 am after taking a break and watching a movie but I stayed up all day with an energy drink around working on database stuff (don't ask.)
Then at 6 am I went ahead and grabbed this energy drink called "V" and cooked, whenever I get sleepy I drink from that can again. I think around 4x then after everything is prepared, I went to sleep for like the entire afternoon, missng the birthday song and stuff.
Afterwards, this is where it got...weird...
I constantly found myself sleeping and yawning. Like I went to sleep at 11 pm then wake up 10 am and a few hrs later , usually 2-3 hrs ish, I'm sleepy again and when I fight against it I yawn excessively and then collapse later on and wake up at 2-3 pm. This has been happening for like half a week now, yesterday I managed to stay up late because of school bullying issues then slept early and woke up at 10 am. Again I'm very sleepy today, I checked the internet and I'm not really sure what I'm looking for.
So yeah I was wondering if you guys also had this issue and how you deal with it, I tried sleeping more just in case it's a jet lag or something but it didn't work. This is the first time and it's hard to concentrate or get any work done being sleepy+heat ._.;

I've had to toy around with my sleeping numerous times.
I've learned it's very hard to set new sleep pattern your body is alleged to follow, but sure there is a few ways you can adjust your biological clock. If you're getting tired too early to your preferences, try staying up to a clock time that's few hours short of when you'd like to be usually going to bed - this way you'll catch up with extra sleep you need and also fill the basic need. Try doing it for a few days.
That isn't as troublesome as waking too early, but still being very tired - yet unable to sleep. For this I've got my various shitty methods, too, but that's different story. :D
If you're just generally tired, you aren't getting enough sleep and going to bed few hours in advance for few days should help...
If you're not lacking of sleep, then it could be your biological clock. It could be you've set yourself a sleep pattern your body is used to, but you're not following it. I dunno if it sounds like bullshit, but that's at least what has happened to myself several times. I sleep for say, 8 hours but at wrong time of day and because of that I'm very quickly tired again and need to sleep several hours. Usually I try to fix it by going to bed a few hours earlier or later for a few days, depending which way you gain your "target clock time" faster.
Or then you can just count roughly 8 hours and add the amount of hours you're lacking of sleep to that and enjoy them in row. It doesn't always work that quick though, but this is way simplier method.

fuck energy drinks or coffee for now.
What you need to do is try and stay awake from morning til atleast 7 pm then sleep through the night as best you can.
Ya gotta get that regular sleeping pattern back, and remember...sleep before midnight is always the healthiest when you're fucked up like this.
just make sure you dont try sleeping before 7 pm. :V

What I usually do to fix my sleeping pattern is do some sort of brain-stimulating activity (most often games). Pick a game that you actually have to think about - not one that lets you hit X to win - and play it.

Yeah that's what I've been doing actually. It's nor working too well.
Thank you for the comments! I'll try the game thingmajing and see if it would work well. To be honest, I regret taking that energy drink ;_;
I'm not sure how relevant this is, but maybe just try to go out and get a mild amount of exercise? Sometimes simply being lethargic or whatever can cause your body to frequently adjust to that amount of activity, causing a lot of sleepiness!
