CloseI know that this is like a day old but i have seen it on just about every forum site so decided to post it here.
What does everyone think? I was quite shocked at hearing his death and will most likely want to go see him in the newest batman film.

My brother's girlfriend told me and I thought she was joking, but it turned out to be true. Sadly another great Aussie leaves the stage of life.

I was going to make a joke about how he was tired of watching Seinfield re-runs and reality TV, but I found it to be in poor taste.

Basically, took too many drugs at once - painkillers, sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication.

Yeah, i think he had trouble a lot with sleeping and was only getting a few hours a night of sleep. Still, he shouldn't have gone overboard with the pills.

There are a lot of rumors and stuff out there, but I believe that he had been suffering from massive depression and insomnia for months; he had self-admittedly been funneling that negative energy into his performance as the Joker but that was over quite a long time ago. It's pretty easy to feel self-destructive when you are intensely unhappy like that.
It's really too bad because he was emerging as a daring and extremely talented young actor. He could have been one of cinema's greats, and his role in Dark Knight would have probably been a wonderful prelude to an incredible career.
