.GIFS AND GAME PROFILES

Hey guys,
I tried to upload a .gif to my gamepage, but it came up with an error message. Apparently I can only have .png's and .jpeg's.
Now that's all well and good, but is there a way to have animated pictures in game profiles? I swear I've seen them before, and I've already made a whole set of .gif's for this page. I wouldn't want them to go to waste!
Thanks in advance!

Awesome. But does it involve interlacing? Because the message said you couldn't have that either. =/
BMPs weren't allowed last I checked, only PNGs and JPGs.
I can appreciate how big and unnecessary .bmp's are, and also how irrelevant. =P
So am I just gonna have to go with still pictures?

If you have Photoshop, you can probably make animated PNGs... I haven't tried it out myself, but it wouldn't hurt.
Only PNG and JPG formats are allowed for screenshots. You can upload any format to your locker however. Then you can use the contents of your locker to spruce up your game profile.
If I'm not mistaken, I've seen an animated screenshot today in a game profile. Something with bees. No idea how to find it again. And I'm not sure it was a screenshot, but it was an image inside the game profile.
Hey, I just had an idea...
If upload a 1x1 blank image, then put the real picture as a comment, I can get around this!

Well, that would've worked, if you could have images in that 1 or 2 lines you get under the picture. =|
I just put a .gif on my games profile and took no less then 45secs. I uploaded it to my photobucket, did the img code, and boom; there it is.
