Here I will be keeping track of my musical creations for you to see, and for me to keep record of. I've recently taken it upon myself to write a soundtrack for kentona's Trials&Tribulations, whether he likes it or not. I sort of just butt into his project and said "Hey, I'm going to write you some damn music," and his response was more or less "Alright cool."
But I also write music for myself to enjoy, so this isn't strictly for T&T. In this thread, I'm simply going to keep track of all my midi creations.
For the record, I'm pretty amateur. This format of music is brand new to me, so I've got to start from square one... and square one for me, being self-taught, is ripping off the music I like. Yes, I'll be the first to admit it: alot of this music is very heavily influenced by the bulk of Uematsu's work, as well as other renown video game soundtracks.
Also, none of my songs have proper titles at all, because frankly, I'm terrible at naming things.
Unassociated works (to be used freely in the public domain):
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/battle.mid - "Battle" music. Based of a song originally written on guitar. Earliest work I still have a copy of. Composed sometime in summertime '08.
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/rockjoy.mid - Upbeat anthem. Was started as a request which was made of me over a year ago, but I never got around to finishing it until about March 2010.
Trials & Tribulations http://rpgmaker.net/games/1997/ (listed in order of completion; reserved strictly for kentona's use until further notice):
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/epicbattle.mid - Battle music. Very very heavily influenced from FF4 in particular.
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/chillideacave.mid - Dungeon-ey music. Possible cave or forest of some kind.
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/worldmap.mid - When I first went in, this was intended to be the "world map" music, and while it could very well be the world map music, it sounds like it might fit better elsewhere, maybe somewhere with a story element. Or not.
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/promise.mid - Sad music. A great Game Over track. Was composed in about an hour. Very simple, somewhat bluesy keyboard track.
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/dementedencounter.mid - Boss battle music. Very intense. My favorite work so far.
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/sketchytime.mid - Dungeon Music(?). Unusual direction. Very simple structure. I dig the melody, personally.
http://rpgmaker.net/users/narcodis/locker/triumphant.mid - Victory music. When a battle is won, this plays.
