Returning from RMVX Death
1093
OK, I've read this over a few times and have examined the pictures rather well. I have a few things to direct you on and point out for you:

Picture 1:
I still don't understand what this is suppose to be... Is it a hill, rock mound.... What? If it is suppose to be a rock mound, then it is too flat to be such a thing. The trees did in deed need the help that you provided them, but there is still no life. Are there no birds, butterflies, rabbits, etc. in your world? There's a huge rock pile there in the middle of the forest, but no other forms of forestry decoration on the ground? No flowers, no pebbles, no bushes, nothing.
Let me introduce you to Blindmind: http://rpgmaker.net/games/8/images/2458/ take a good long look at this games pictures.

Picture 2:
I am proud of you. It looks considerably better then the first time you posted, and a lot better then picture 1. However, there is still things missing... Again I am going to refer you to Blindminds game that I posted above in Picture 1 for references. In this one, there is no life... Where is all the life in your game? If this is a farm, where are the farm animals? There should at least be ~some~ form of animal wondering around. I've been to farms in real life, there is always a few stray chickens running loose, or even a few dogs or hens, or really... anything. Maybe even a few people or something... You need life.
http://rpgmaker.net/games/8/images/2462/ <-- Reference image for you. (Albeit this is a small setting, but none-the-less you see what I am talking about.)

Picture 3:
The store looks good. There is still emptiness again in your little store... Your store would be down-right perfect (with a couple of exceptions naturally) if you would just take a couple of tiles out.
I have recreated your scene in this picture on my own just to show you what I mean by that:

Mind you, it is still great looking if you prefer it big, but you see what I mean right? I would like to introduce you to Anaryu, Solitayre and Krisanna - http://rpgmaker.net/games/1722/images/8008/ great game graphics wise and the environment is beautiful to look at. Just like Blindminds game I showed you...

Emptiness is OK to a very - VERY - large point and there needs to be a reason for it. But a forest empty...? A town or home with no people or life...? A store that larger then it needs to be for one girl and no one shopping in it...? No real reason for it. My recommendation to you, as a person that has done this herself MANY more times then I would EVER admit to anyone alive, I would recommend to you that you go and play a few other peoples games first. Start with Blindminds Beloved Rapture and Avarice by Anaryu, Solitayre and Krisanna... These games are going to help you out with your - as Liberty says - map-spaceitis problem, and they should help with your missing Life problem as well.

I hope this has helped to point you in a great direction, Worrierjeb. Your game sounds interesting to me and I would prolly play it when you're ready to release a demo (which BTW, should have at least 1 - 2 hours of play in it, just so you know ahead of time). Keep up the great work and I hope you have a BLAST making it - basically that is all that should really count in the end. ;)

Looking much better. Just one thing - in the shop map, don't forget the wall autotile above the walls to either side of the counter. ^.^

Yeah, I agree with Liberty. The paintings seem to be barely hanging from the wall. One question: can you actually walk behind the wooden cabinet? If not, there shouldn't be a painting in the wall behind it. You can, in that case, keep the painting, but the cabinet would need to be moved elsewhere or disappear the painting altogether.

I personally do like to see narrow rooms if they aren't be filled with too many objects.
Also Here!
Ara Fell is a great example of breathing life into a game. Its maps are very crowded, but are wonderfully designed (imo, anyway.) Check it.
Hey my game was cloase to being accepted but i think i got denied for not putting in a date available heres what it said
:"Tales of True Tales Presents: A TRUE TALES PRODUCTION: Tales From Another World. Coming to an RMN near you in 2022!".
Do not use the Date Available field. Clear it out. It will prevent a game from being shown until that date. Plus, the format is mysteriously hidden (is it MMDDYYYY? ddMMMyyyy? month dd, yy? dd/mm/yy? NO ONE KNOWS!)
Actually, I think I'm having trouble submitting too... it keeps saying pending.... It's been 3 to 4 days. Also, it says that I don't have any screen shots but you can plainly see them in the main topic. It also says I have no download, but again, it's in the main topic... what am I doing wrong?
Plainly you need to add them to the screenshots tab. It won't even show up in the queue until there are 3 images there - the staff isn't even aware of the submission until then.

EDIT:
This topic will give you the lowdown:

So can anybody help me with this riddle ::"Tales of True Tales Presents: A TRUE TALES PRODUCTION: Tales From Another World. Coming to an RMN near you in 2022!". Ya my game is called Tales of Another World but i don't get what im supposed to do now. How is me being denied and that the reason i was denied. I thought the person looking at the submissions was pretty easy going..... cause im being serious on this game and it gets denied. On the other hand i made a game for fun and didn't even try gets accepted. I'm pretty confused.... very.
