FORMATTING WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS?

This may be an idiotic question, but what's the proper method to format (Bold, Italicize, Underline, etc) an article, tutorial, or review submitted to the site? HTML tags, BBCode, something else? I've seen people with formatted work, so I know it can be done, I just don't know how.

[b][/b] - Bold
[i][/i] - Italics
[u][/u] - Underline
[hide][/hide] - Contents hidden with a 'Show' button that makes contents visible
[url=http://yourfavoritewebsite]text[/url] - Text becomes a link to the URL given in the url tag
[img]ImageURL[/img] - Place an image with the URL between the [img]'s

This isn't documented anywhere on site so don't worry about asking questions (I probably forgot one too)

Thanks, GRS. I wonder why nobody has bothered to do so.
Forgot three:

[size=X][/size] - Change the size of the font to X
[youtube]YoutubeURL[/youtube] - Add a youtube video with the given URL. Fully playable!
There's also code tags which my posts use. Click on quote to see the yucky insides and see the code tags!

Youtube example:

Well most of this is common bbcode stuff. Also quote me to see a SECRET MESSAGE.

I found this reference for all the tags BBCode uses:

BBCode Tags Reference

I assume they all should work. I'll be putting them into practice.
[s][/s] has been left out of this topic as far as I can tell.
