This Indie Game Challenge...
So, apparently, it's this contest where you submit you indie game and have a chance at both breaking into the industry for professional games and winning $100,000. There's even a chance to get your game published, or win a scholarship (to some school I didn't bother looking up). Contestants have till October 1st to create and submit.
What do you folks think of this? Any of you confident enough to try and take the challenge? Discuss...
EDIT: Doh, topic title typo. Someone please change "challege" to "challenge."

Only WIP can do that (or ankylo). They have to go right into the database. I wouldn't even worry about it (I didn't even notice).
Anywho, Tom_IGC posted about this last year, too. He posted it here, at GW, at GameJolt and a few other places I frequent. I don't know of anyone taking him up on it, though. The general feel was that what we were making would be inadequate.
At least, that's how I felt.

Well, I'm sure an RPG Maker game would be considered inadequate.
But, I'm sure there are people on this site that have animation and/or programming knowledge with which they could start creating something from the ground up if they wanted. There are people like that on RMN, right?
Anyway, I thought it was interesting, nonetheless, that big name companies and whatnot are giving the indie game makers a chance at country-wide/world-wide recognition.
