Welp, I posted this on the Spelunky forums the other day, so if you see a name on the list you don't recognize, it's probably someone from there. This'll get done one way or another!

With the help I'm getting from the Spelunky forums, we've whittled this down past the halfway mark (for signups, at least). We still have a long way to go, but time is running out! If you think you'd like to try this, say so! If you signed up and no longer wish to help, tell me! We have approximately one week left, so hop to it!

okay bad news. I couldn't beat the tutorial level after 2 attempts. (I couldn't figure out how to eat the Mattock)
I'm not sure if I am the right guy for this. I also couldn't figure out how to do the ledge hang lip thing.

ALL RIGHT! So, I guess this thing was supposed to be over yesterday! Well, looking at the number of holes in the level list, it seems we didn't quite reach our goal.
I'm a little disappointed I have to take the 'RMNC' out of 'TLSRMNCMV', but I can't really say I'm surprised, either.
If you still want to sign up to make a level or finish one you already started, you can go ahead. I'm going to sign myself up for some of the empty slots and keep making them until it's finished. Likewise, I'll keep seeking help from the Spelunky forums.

Sorry, I had technical difficulties with the editor on my computer. Entirely my computer's fault, I couldn't finish the level. I really want to finish it but I can't. Sorry.
OP updated with stuff. I finished the Pitcher's Mitt and moved on to the Shuriken.

I think TLSMV would've done a lot better if there weren't so many restrictions. Imagine if we were told we couldn't put fire flowers in water levels, for example, in Super RMN Bros.
I'm not familiar with Tastes Like Spelunky, but would it have been impossible to make a hub level much as in Super RMN Bros., where it didn't matter what power up you used, or how many (within reason), as long as it wasn't blue Yoshi?

from Fallen-GrieverThat about sums it up. Super RMN Bros. didn't have any restrictions at all, and the end result was, while playable, extremely disorganized. I was aiming to make something more coordinated. And while I did place quite a few restrictions, you'd be surprised how small they really are. I only put a stop on powerful items (which set the pace), a handful of enemies, and told people not to make vicious gauntlet levels.
Super RMN Bros. is a collection of levels that don't link together.
This is not supposed to be that.
I don't know if the restrictions were the only thing that held this back or not, but whatever. It'll be finished soon anyway. Also...
from VideoWizardTrouble is, you don't lose items as easily in Spelunky as you do in Mario. You could find two Hammer Suits in a Mario level, take two unlucky shots, and lose them just as easily. You find one Jetpack in Spelunky and you'll have it until you either win or perish. So, item restrictions were very necessary!

Uh, that's not really how it works, kent. I added it to the custom levels list on TLS' gamepage, but it's not really a game all its own. It's just something fun you can play through regular TLS.

Well, if you really think it deserves its own game profile, then I'll make one. It would still need regular TLS to be played, though.
Also, GOGP, please don't go making download links I can't control.
EDIT: Hahaha, so you sticky regular TLS instead. Beautiful! A few bugs came up from this metroidvania that I need to fix, so I'll be releasing a new version sometime this week. Maybe even tomorrow, if I have the time.
