HOW DO I GET INDIE GAME MAKER TO WORK ON WINDOWS 7 ?

CloseAfter install and dopple click on exe. it wont start up at all ! no error code it just loads a sec.
I use Windows 7 Ulimate.
I also tried compatible mode (Windows XP Sp2 etc) won't work either.

Can someone help this is really bugging me I can't use IG Maker. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and when I launch the program a window pops up saying:

hey its not windows 7's doing. i still have vista and it does the same exact thing, i dont know why either but if i find out i'll let you know and hopefully if you find out you can let me know.
What the hell is Indie Game Maker? If you're talking about the program I'm thinking of, it's basically malware anyway, you're better off without it.

I'm with Max McGee. Why would a program need Admin rights and DEP exclusion to work? Even my lopsided messy code jobs compile on XP and run just fine in Vista and Windows 7.
I'm betting it was made by the same fuckups who did RMXP. You needed Admin rights to start the test game process and add it to the DEP whitelist to play a game or run the editor.

I am not defending indie game maker in any way but is needing admin rights really that big a deal? I mean... who doesn't use an account with admin rights on their home computer?

You're not supposed to and this is the cause of many security breaches back in XP days. That's why Microsoft added that annoying UAC and that's why Linux asks you for a sudo if you try to do something you need permissions for.
You can still run specific programs under an administrator account if you prefer to mainly use a restricted user account. As such, I do not see programs you want to use needing admin rights to be a big deal nor a problem.
Which is flawed, the program or the restricted user account's permissions, is something I won't get into, though.

Thanks for the link but when I open ig maker it asks for a serial code as well what is it and where do I find it?
