hey all, I m probably the dumbest ass for asking this but how exactly do I make the game file usable for download? Do I make a game disk for it then zip that or do I just zip the file that contains the game file? Iv had it submitted and everything but apparently it doesn't seem to work according to a few people....Have looked around for a help topic but couldn't find (shows how stupid I am!) all help appreciated

cheers

1. Install an archive program if you don't have one already. Popular ones include WinRAR, and 7-Zip.
2. Create an archive of your game's entire folder using aforementioned archive program.
3. Scan archive/source files for viruses, if you're into that sort of precautions.
4. Upload to RMN.
5. ????
6. Profit.

Note: I never submitted a game, so take step 4 with a spoonful of salt. That's the basic gist of it, though.
Don't make a game disk if you're using RM2K.

Game disks work fine, especially for people who aren't familar with RM because it makes sure they get the RTP. However, most RM familar people prefer just unzipping the archive and having the game there.

Don't forget to remind people that they're going to need the whole RTP if they want to play your game (since your game's folder won't include any RTP elements they might need).

sweet thanks man. I just got the impression the game wasn't working at all so assumed i did something wrong in the process.
