RPGMAKER ADVENTURE GAMES?

Posts

Pages: 1
I was wondering if anyone knows of some good adventure games made with RPGMaker. By this I mean, games that put little or no focus on combat and more on exploration, character interactions, puzzles, story, etc. I've found a couple pretty decent ones but they've been few and far between. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Thanks in advance for the help!
You mean action-adventure?
I think the "adventure" genre is more like visual novels.

??? I'm pretty sure he means stuff like Muse or anything that resembles a point and click adventure game... without the point and click.

Anyway to answer your question:

-Muse (well, wait for it)
-The Longing Ribbon
-Backstage
-Grave Spirit
-Desert Nightmare

I'm not sure if all of these are good, but a lot of people seem to like them.
Besides the above-mentioned games (which are almost all of the horror theme..), Sunset over Imdahl can also be considered as an adventure game with no battles at all but exploration, puzzles etc, just like what you described.

Other than that, not much that I know of. Adventure games are a rare gem in RPG Maker.

I can say for sure that both the Longing Ribbon and Desert Nightmare are the shit.

I've never played Grave Spirit, but it's funny how all games you named can also be considered horror games.
Yeah that was what I meant Darken, thanks. The few I have tried so far (Sunset over Imdahl, Grave Spirit, and 2 that I can't recall the names of offhand...been a while ^^) have all been really great, which led me to see if there were many more like that around. I appreciate all the suggestions so far!

Not to like, eliminate the games that aren't mine, but out of that list, TLR and Grave Spirit are not really pure Adventure games. The former is actually an (action-?)rpg and the latter is an action-adventure game. The former at least is also an EXCELLENT game, however, and should be checked out regardless of genre.
I have to point out Desert Nightmare, which I translated from German. It's an excellent adventure game. You can find it on my profile.

If you want, check out other games by Kelven who made Desert Nightmare at http://www.rpg-atelier.net/
They're in German though.
