TRANSPARENT SYSTEM GRAPHICS

I have a beautiful title screen that was custom made for me. The problem is that when the 'New, Load, Quit' menu pops up, it covers a part of it. I downloaded Cherry's HyperP program and moved the menu over to the far right, which is better, but is it possible to make the system graphic transparent on the title screen?
I am using 2k3 by the way.

What I would do is simply have a system set for the title screen and then the system set for your actual game. Set the default to the title one and just make the system set background transparent. Then, after the game starts, have it switch to the real one.
That's the thing. I made a transparent system graphic, but instead of appearing transparent it appears as a black block. I even re-imported the system graphic and made sure that the background colour is transparent.
Post the system graphics and I'm pretty sure I can help you out, because I've done exactly what you want in a previous game of mine. Chances are, you're just not setting up the graphic right or importing it the right way.
That's odd. It should be working fine. Are you sure you remembered to set it as the default one after importing?
You can NOT set a title screen system set to transparent. It's just not supported. Don't waste your time.
Yeah, you can't do that. You can make a custom title screen though, or use a black background on your title screen.
Aw damn. I had a bad feeling I might not be able to do it, because the title screen doesn't have layers.
I'd make a custom title screen, except as far as I can tell, there is no way to open a loading screen past the title menu.

Ah, I forgot that it did that. My apologies. The game I was basing my knowledge off of had a black background, so I didn't realize that it doesn't actually behave that way.
That's no problem man, thanks anyways!
If I can find a way to create a custom title menu, I will, otherwise, I'll just have to settle for using the regular title screen.

Cherry has a patch for it. There's also Power Mode which allows customized as well.
