I am not entirely sure if I am going to go through with this ... but I was interested in doing some, I guess, "live beta-testing" for amateur games. I don't know if any of you read my reviews, but I always post logs of how I felt throughout the game. In many ways, this is basically it - except in video form. I don't know if any of you are interested or not, or if it is even a good idea.
I am not looking for eFame or anything, I am just bored and wanted to help some folks out. I am a bit nervous about this because I don't want to make a fool out of myself or waste time.
plz show me le light

My only thing is this, and this is going from what I remember in the podcasts from a while back; any potential LP you'd do would be great except for two things; you don't really seem to say much (I don't mean like, what you say isn't much; I mean, between the three of you in that podcast, you spoke about a 1/4th as much as the other two), and your voice isn't very loud; it's very soft and sometimes its straight up hard to hear you!
I'm not trying to TALK SHIT or deflate your dreams or anything, I just wanted to be forward with you on those things I remember based on the last time I actually heard you speak. Overcome those two things and you're all set, I think. The idea itself is sound!

I don't know. The situation for me was kind of awkward for the podcast because, well, I didn't know what to say. To make matters worse, my mic wasn't too stellar either. For LPs, it would e a lot easier since I feel as though I have something to say. I guess this is why I made a thread beforehand because I don't really know if it is worth my while. I didn't really want to invest in a mic and etc. to make myself a fool or do something no one really gives.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

If you want to make sure you don't make a fool out of yourself, start out by doing LPs of joke games.
I recommend the epically awful Chrono Trigger, mostly so it will show up on Youtube when people search for "Let's Play Chrono Trigger".

you're lucky i clicked that link before i made this post because i was getting ready to say
Feld thought he meant the original Chrono Trigger. Not the crappy and extremely bizarre fan one.
Anyway, I think this sounds like a fine idea.

There's nothing more terrible than watching someone play through an intentionally terrible game. idk LP a game you actually LIKE.

I have seen some absolutely fantastic LPs that cleverly point out the absurdities and shit on terrible games.
IMO, if you can put some energy into your commentary, then I think that no matter what you feature in your LP (informative, comedic, etc.), you will be liked by people anyway. For example, one of my most favorite LPers, HCBailly, can be a little bit corny with his jokes sometimes... However, his delivery of them seems to more than make up for whatever faults are present in his videos. And he's also pretty informative with his LPs too ("informative" can also include things not EXACTLY part of the game you're LPing, but maybe related in some way - some side commentary is never a bad thing).
I say rock on and try it out! You never know what will happen unless you do. :)

Yeah im sure that game just needs that criticism.
It's not about that, though, the whole point of LPs is to entertain an audience. If it does that, everything else is secondary.

It's a lot more meaningful (or in other words entertaining) if the "clever pointing out absurdities" actually matter when done on a bad game that was a serious attempt. Idk when I watched some of Drakiyth's "reviews" they were just games that were made intentionally bad FOR him. To me it would have been a little more entertaining if the games were bad by themselves rather than just painting a bullseye on themselves. I still stand by that when starting out, you might want to stick with a game you like and can provide info on rather than trying to be the LP version of the AVGN or something.
I'm guessing he wants to help people with a LP, not just practice his speech or kill time.
Well, I guess everyone would love to have a LP or their games, so of course this is a good idea.

This is why I watch Brick's LPs. I don't care about most of the games, but he is a hilarious man.
