THE FIRST VIDEO GAME YOU EVER PLAYED
Posts

Super Mario Bros. (NES)
Mine as well, playing it alongside Double Dragon II. It was gaming heaven.
The very first video game I played was Might and Magic - Secret of the Inner Sanctum on our Commodore 64. Since the game came out in 1987, I must have been 8 or 9 when I played it. While I have a version of that game for the PC (thank you, collector's edition of Might and Magic VI - The Mandate of Heaven), I've never beaten it.
It's VERY foggy for me. The first concrete memory of playing something that I have is Paper Mario. Although I do have some very, VERY foggy memories of playing some kind of Spiderman game on the NES.
I must have been about 3 at the time of the Spiderman game. I can remember web swinging in front of some orange brick wall, and thats about it.

Duck Hunt for the NES. It was Christmas day in 1987 and the family got the deluxe bundle that came with the power pad, light gun, and a compilation cart with Mario, Duck Hunt, and Track and Field on it.
Wonderboy in Monster World for the sega genesis. I still remember when my dad bought it for me. I was the happiest kid ever.
I didn't play it a lot, though. My attention span was all but nonexistent and playing outside was better.

What was the first vid game (any genre, any system) that you ever played?
Super Mario World - SNES
I beat this game 15+ times in kindergarten, even though most people dont believe me.. ;)
I had beaten it like about 99%
Had all exit gates passed, went into new world (dif colors and enemies), had like 100+ lives
I just didnt have all Yoshi coins
...but that changed when i got it for GBA. Complete 100%
Are you me?
The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening for the gameboy, except it was in the SNES adapter cartridge thingy that allowed you to play gameboy games on the SNES. Beat it when I was 3 and I specifically remember thinking that the bow looked like half of a plate that shot things. I wasted the arrows as soon as I would get them.

bla bla bla alley cat prince of persia.
oh man, and I also remember playing leisure suit larry in the land of the lounge lizards along with kosmonaut(skyroads?), a painting program and some awful flight simulator
Sonic the Hedgehog I suppose. That's the most early I can remember and from what I can tell, Sega Mega Drive was our first console. We also had Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Quackshot and a few more.
first played? probably something in an arcade. memory's hazy. my dad used to take me to arcades when i was really little. sm64 was the first one i ever actually owned. my first response was to go back a generation and play every super nintendo game i could get my hands on. this means i have been breaking the law since i was ~6, insofar as an older friend of mine taught me how ZSNES worked. regardless, super mario 64 firmly cemented me as a "nintendo kid."
