i need to know what types of video files are used in rm2k3 and how i can play one before a new game starts. plzz help
What you probably want to do is make a cutscene, make the hero invisable and have the opening map for your game be the first scene in your 'video' and event out the actions etc.

if you are actually talking about a video file, you rm2k3 supports .avi I believe, but I don't recommend doing this. unless you have like a sick custom avi made for your game, but even still. I always hated those.

RM2K3 supports playback of .avi video files by default. Your choice of video and audio codecs, among a myriad of other things, can be used.

Note: If you don't know how to encode video and audio and/or do not know how videos and audio are played back, I suggest not even bothering with the idea.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Every time I've seen an AVI video used in an RPG Maker game, it was a Dragon Ball Z fan game, and the video was part or all of the DBZ cartoon intro.

So, I'm going to have to request that you please stop making your terrible DBZ game. We have enough of them. Thank you.

(In the extremely unlikely event you're making something original, use an AVI movie, and be sure it's one that runs without requiring any special codecs to be installed other than the ones that come with Windows.)

and be sure it's one that runs without requiring any special codecs to be installed other than the ones that come with Windows.

This is actually quite an unreasonable demand because there are far better (and more popular) alternatives to WMV9 when encoding video (audio is fine, Windows already has codecs for MP3 playback).
also people not using KLITE should be shot
