SFL: Yeah, I see that I wrote the second perspective as kind of a "Craze-tinted perspective." I'm a very personal writer, I guess you could say; I'm bad at not clouding perspectives with my own view on the situation. Thanks for all of the observations and support. =D

As for what my professor: she specifically said that the openings to both were interesting, and that's about it. Thing is, we basically have an agreement where I show up to her classes and get an A as long as I do good work (I know I'm not an amazing+++ writer, but I'd like to think that I'm not painful to read; I'm also 2x better at expository and persuasive writing, which is more common in school). She has told me that when she's in faculty meetings, she usually reads/grades my latest assignment because it's more interesting.

I'm actually... not in a few of her classes; I'm there as part of honors courses that she invents for me (handy that she's my advisor, my favorite professor and head of the honors committee). I'm not there to learn to write, just for the education aspect of the class, (it's Writing and the Teaching of Writing) so she doesn't put as much emphasis on my works. We both understand that enduring the shit that my peers write takes up a lot of energy (oh god peer review in my Literary Analysis class is painful).

There's no way to say the above without making her sound somewhat like a bad teacher, but she really isn't and has taught me a lot.

EDIT: I would just like to point out how unfortunate it is that with the exception of me, the better the writer you are in my Analysis class, the uglier you are. The opposite is also true.

<geodude> so you're both a poor writer and ugly
