YM, you seem to be both a dude and a bro. i feel we should interface more often.
1. Describe your RMN history and experiences.

I joined on 03/02/2009 09:50 PM, on this account anyways. I had another one from 2008 I think. I originally didn't post here that much, as I was sticking to GamingWorld for some awful reason. After I uploaded Dreamer to this site I realized how good of a community this was and stuck around.

2. Talk about yourself.

I guess you could say I'm a bit of a boring person to a lot of people. I come off as a little shy but really you just have to get to know me. I aspire to write manga/graphic novels/comics whatever you want to call them, and I guess I see RM as a way to practice storytelling or some shit.

3. Talk about your RPG Maker work ethics.

I come up with cool ideas and make custom graphics, then cancel games. At least thats what I've become known for.

4. Describe where you get your ideas from.

I get my ideas from pretty much anywhere. You could make a comment or a joke or something, or wear certain clothes, and it might make me think of a game/story what have you. I have tons of ideas basically thrown into the garbage dump, but every now and then I revisit them.

5. Talk about your games and why they are/were worth making.

I'd like to preface this by saying this is my opinion. I don't want to sound full of myself, cause I'm not.

My games are usually Mother styled, or classic RPGs. I try to be inventive and off the wall when I make them. I think they are worth making because they are original concepts that stand out from most of the stuff in the community.

6. Little Known Facts about yourself.

I don't really think there are a lot. I came close to death a couple times, once in a car crash, nearly getting hit by a van on several occasions, almost breaking my ribcage, and nearly drowning. I guess I have bad luck!

7. Future game making prospects (what projects will you be working on next?)

I have a few ideas I'm toying around with. I want to make something short to come back into the community, as I was unable to make games for a few months. I'm also looking at returning to some of my canceled projects.

1. Describe your RMN history and experiences.
I started working with Rpg maker around 2003 or so, I think. First RM community I found and became a member of was DarkolicRPG or something like that. It was led by Darkmax and MDN and had a very friendly and active little community. Then I had my own site for a few years with a person called Snoo and we had several old Darkolic, RMDB and GW members in our little community, which was also pretty active and friendly likewise. After those places died I think I had a pause from the "RM scene" for a while, until I got some plot idea I wanted to make into a game again. Since then I've been member of RMN.

2. Talk about yourself.
I guess I was quite a nolifer after highschool and I mostly focused on Rpg Maker only for a several years. I've become more social and independent during past few years though, and have become more interested in common welfare and actually having some real friends and doing things outside my own room. This is why I am very reluctant to touch Rpg Maker at all right now. I'm still very unbalanced.

3. Talk about your RPG Maker work ethics.
When I work on Rpg Maker I test the game continuously all the time and try to correct even the slightest annoyances that clash with the atmosphere I am going for. I focus a lot in unnecessary details and try to hone the atmosphere to be as smooth as possible. There is so many things always bothering me however, that I always feel that I can never complete a game alone that I can be happy about. I always feel there is too much work for one person to make the game good enough. Even though I can enjoy other peoples' games despite the flaws of those games, I think it takes too long from myself to fix everything I have done in my game to actually ever complete it.

4. Describe where you get your ideas from.
I was always inspired by music when working with Rpg Maker. Different songs gave me ideas for different atmospheres which I was able to base characters, events and locations off to. Of course I always also wanted to portray some of my thoughts, experiences, and things I just find cool or funny in my games.

5. Talk about your games and why they are/were worth making.
I don't think my games are worth making anymore. I spent all my time making my game, and I really loved the results, but I have realized how much time I put in it, and what else I can do with that time. I've found things that make me happier than wandering around in my imaginary world with my imaginary RTP friends, even though that is pretty cool too. I am always making my games for myself, but I feel I can be happier with other things than my games for now. Maybe I continue working them some day, if I become bored of everything else again.

6. Little Known Facts about yourself.
- I like girly things.
- I look like a fag
- I drink a lot of coffee
- I either think too much or not at all.
- I want to become a composer

7. Future game making prospects (what projects will you be working on next?)
I've started composing music on my spare time and I find it really refreshing, fun and interesting for a change. I've been composing only since June, though, but I'm looking forward to getting better by a lot of practice and studying. And I can't wait until I'm able to compose entire soundtracks for games.
1. Describe your RMN history and experiences.

I don't remember quite when I joined (okay, wait, 04/15/2008 exactly). I just remember it was because there was something going down at GamingW that I didn't like, and I was one of many people who jumped ship and swam over here. I think I've grown a lot since I was here, and since I was in the community in general. I've gone from pretty much a childish wannabe jerk guy who talked too much and had nothing to say (and not a lot of you remember that same guy was a Contributor here; I didn't contribute very much), to hopefully, or I'd like to say, a more chill, intelligent, common sense relaxed kind of guy.

Overall, I've enjoyed my time here and everyone here, and I'm big into the community aspect of this place, which is why I defended this topic and the prospect of actually getting to know you guys beyond the game developer aspect of our personalities.

2. Talk about yourself.

I'm a 23 year old, about to be a college graduate. Apparently more than one person has said I'm the last person you would imagine to make video games, RPGs no less (tardis being the last guy to take note of that). Take that and run with it. Other than that, I'm a chill dude, and when my ass isn't planted in front of a screen somewhere (something I try to avoid), I love being outside and being active and doing stuff, and I can say it's one of the biggest and most exuberant parts of my personality. I also love meeting people and being sociable and well, doing anything I can get my hands on. I have a lot of energy and stories to tell.

3. Talk about your RPG Maker work ethics.

The above sort of bleeds into my RPG Maker work ethics. I love making games and coming up with ideas, but I'm very lax towards it in general; I have no aspirations towards game making as a career or job, so I do it purely for fun and pretty much do what I want, when I want, and why I want. Which pretty much means shit happens at my whim. I sometimes forget that some people are actually looking forward to my game and I'm actually trying to wrap up the first chapter pretty soon. Sorry for the wait, folks.

4. Describe where you get your ideas from.

Absolutely anything. I'm a fast thinker and an absorbant learner. Simply experiencing different shit upon waking up every day can lead to one thing or another, really.

5. Talk about your games and why they are/were worth making.

Chronology of the Last Era is basically my translation of some cool ideas, or at least, stuff I think is cool, and into an RM media. I have no real rules or convictions when it comes to game making, so it's pretty much something you judge for yourself and see if you're interested.

6. Little Known Facts about yourself.

I actually won an Xbox in a game making competition in high school. I think I said that before, though. I hate sweet things. I'm afraid of drowning (but not water or swimming or anything). I'm the oldest of five kids. I'm a pretty okay guitar player. I wanted to join the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (being eligible and all) since Native Americans are mostly dead and that makes me sad. Women get me into trouble. I love the SaGa series. I love FFVI. I love Xenogears. I'm big into paintball and I have quite a few scars from it. My first memory is mom dropping me on my head as a baby. Shit sucked.

7. Future game making prospects (what projects will you be working on next?)

I want to make a SaGa Frontier-esque game when I get a chance. I really think the concepts in the Saga series suffer from great idea/flawed execution. Some of those ideas are also pretty easy to fix in theory. We'll see.
I guess I'll do one to.

1. Describe your RMN history and experiences.

LIFE STORY ALERT:

Way back on early middle school, I remember reading about RPG Maker for the PSone in game informer. Even though I never bought the game, I was greatly inspired to create my own RPG. One of my friends told my about a program called RPG Maker 2000 for the PC for free. At first I didn't believe him, but after searching through the interwebs, I finally came across the program and quickly began making my first amateurish project to get use to the program.

I eventually joined Charas-Project forums and lurked around their forums for a while as a worked on my first true game called "Eternel Eve." (Yes, with an E cause I couldn't spell.) I got some good remarks about it from the members there unfortunately though, my computer crashed and I had to reformat my hard disk. =( The loss of my game was too much for me and I decided to quit RPG Maker for a long while. It wasn't until 2006 or so that I began to slowly regain interests in another project. I called it "Osheru Shori," and at first it was going to be a tactics game similar to FFT. Regrettably, the loss of my first project still lingered within me and I couldn't fully adjust myself back to the ways of RPG Making. It wasn't until mid 2008 when I put the past behind me and decided to fully commit myself to the game. I redone absolutely everything and decided to increase my drawing, spriting, and writing skills.

After I long while absent, I came back to Charas Forums only to find it wasn't as active as it was before. Sometime later, I heard about this site, checked out the forums for a bit and decided to register. I was nervous to post anything about me or my game for a long while, but eventually got over it and decided posting. Here I am now.

2. Talk about yourself

I'm a 21 year old, easy going yet quiet fella that likes to play games. On occasion, I do make people laugh but I'm generally not that good at creating humor. I'm a sucker for procrastination and love my alone time.
I'm a sophomore in college and major in Information Technology.

3. Talk about your RPG Maker work ethics.

I've increased my Drawing Skills, Spriting Skills, writing skills, for the sake of expanded my creativity. Usually I have a strong desire to work on my game for a couple of months before I stop and take a small break to recollect myself. My first goal before anything else was to establish an interesting yet simple layout for my story. Afterwards, I began perfecting my Character Designs, CMS,CBS, and other such systems before I began on the actually mapping. I am perfectionist and constantly test my game to make sure things are just right.

4. Describe where you get your ideas from.

My ideas usually spring forth from just about everywhere really. If something interests me, I usually break it apart and try to conceive of ways to make it more interesting.

5. Talk about your games and why they are/were worth making.

My game has become a life hobby of mine that I would like to complete someday. My game is highly inspired from the Grandia series and is worth making not only because it's fun, but it helps expands my creativity and imagination. Developing this game made me realize the fundamentals on what makes a good game fun and the time and care it takes to produce one.

6. Little Known Facts about yourself

- If you didn't already know, I am an in-closet gay african-american.
- I was in the U.S. Navy for a short period of time.
- I really like Japanese Manga. I don't care for anime as much though.
- I am highly competitive in fighting games and was the best SSBB Peach player in the midwest (according to tournaments wins) for about a year. Other fighting games that interest me are: Tekken 6 and BlazBlue Continuum Shift. I also try to be competitive in pokemon games just for the heck of it, but find it way too based on luck. (60% Hypnosis, Abundance of critical hits, etc...)
- I'm a skinny lil' basterd weighing in around 130lbs.
- I spend way too much time on the computer.
- My favorite drink is Orange Soda, and my favorite food is a pepperoni with extra cheese pizza.

7. Future game making prospects (what projects will you be working on next?

- I will be working on one and only one project: Osheru Shori. If I ever do end up finishing it, I'll probably end up spriting more or try to learn ruby for RMVXP for the heck of it. I will NOT be making another game.
