HELP ME THINK OF A MOVIE

I was invited to write a book chapter. The book is called "Skinner vai ao cinema" (Skinner goes to the movies), and it's about analyzing movies in a behavior analysis perspective. I was specifically required to write a chapter about lying. So I'm asking for ideas on what movie I could use to approach specific lying themes.

My first pick was "The invention of lying", but for some strange reason there's no release date for this movie in Brazil, so my editors think it would be kinda pointless to write about a movie no one watched.

I know "lying" is pretty common in almost every single movie, but I needed one I could clearly get examples from to talk about the following:

-Why would someone start lying (when he didn't before);
-Why would someone lie (benefit from something, escape from punishment);
-Lying signals (facial behavior, etc);
-Lie detection (from such behavior recognition);

Basically I just need to talk about this stuff, using parts from a single movie as examples. I need movie ideas.

Help?
Liar Liar.

The Informant.

^ You HAVE to watch this movie then.

The Phantom Menace. Lucas lied about it being good.

Seriously, though, I can't think of a good one off the top of my head. Maybe Kentona's suggestion?
Double Indemnity

Of course that one only really covers the first two. I'm sure you could find some other noir classic that covers more.
Shattered Glass, maybe? I'm not sure if the signals and and detection apply though; it's been a while since I've seen it. But it is based on the real-life rise and fall of disgraced journalist, Stephen Glass.
