CloseMe and my three buddies called each other Dude a lot in highschool. Actually, Justin and I still do this, instead of real names we are Dude or Dowd. Or Dowdedigar... or whatever weird rambling variant of Dude we think of.
Anyway, we all worked together on Dude's Adventure games back on RM95+ days, and made Dudesoft.
Then at the Ontario Gamingworld Meets, all the guys decided to call me Dudesoft instead of Jeff, mostly because GW user "Jeff" was there.
Didn't really bug me until Bart got weird about calling me "The Dude" like from that one movie. Then they changed my GW name to The Dude... that's always felt kinda weird. I don't mind the online handle "The Dude" at all, but being called "The Dude" irl is just weird. Like "Hey, The Dude, pass me a pop will ya?" or "We're all eating pizza, even The Dude is!" It's strange, no?

No one in RL knows my username and it needs to stay that way.
Though, I briefly went by Adrian Clyde on facebook, and people started calling me that.

I have no clue how mine came about... Always had my name spelt with a K instead of a C like it should be, so every time I got something, it said Kat on it. I guess when people just started joking and calling me kitty-kat, then that's where it came from. (The 2021 is only because someplace I was at randomly generated that number and I've just loved it ever since)

Mary is my second RL name. The 4D is just an evolution from 3d which I used for my YouTube account.

Xanedil is the name of the main character in my comic/manga that I do more of every few months or so. The actual name however is an anagram of mine with an X thrown in (created back when I was overly obsessed with KH2 -__-. My obsession has more than died but the name stuck ever since.)

I got to thinking about my username and I totally don't know why I picked it. I've never been called it in real life. I don't even know how I thought of it. I've just been using it for years online. So wierd!

Lol, I just noticed that's the name of a James Patterson novel. Now I have to read it.
I haven't been called by any of my couple internet names in real life (yet). I probably wouldn't find it that strange if I were called in such a fashion, though.
