I bought a PSP so I could play Daxter. Worked out well too, since a lot of others games that I would buy the console for were released later.

When Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker came out, I took three hundred dollars and bought a PSP just for it and Portable Ops.
I bought the Wii because there was a ton of games I wanted to play. Only to find out that there is only one game on it, that I want to play (Smash bros).
Also, bought Xbox when I was very anti-xbox just to play Shenmue 2.
