[RPG MAKER VX] TIME BASED EVENT, ENDING EVENT, AND CREATING SOMEONE?

I have just started using RPGMaker VX, and i came across a problem in the first few minutes. I want the game to start and have an event in the first few seconds.

(you lose ability to control the character.)
basically someone is telling you to get out of the vehicle.
waiting.....
they tell ya again.
waiting...
person appears at location.
he is mad and tells ya to wake up.
person walks to ya.
person kicks ya.
you respond.
person walks back to door.
person disappears.
(you regain ability to control yourself.)
end of event.

i tried to make something like this. but it ended up starting within 1 sec of the game, and on a never ending loop, and you never actually lost control of the guy. and basically i ran into all sorts of problems.

What i basically want to know is: is there a way to start a set of events when the trigger is time? also, how do i end an event, and how do i cause an event where someone appears at a location?
Ok, first off, if you haven't learned switches and variables yet, I suggest doing that now. They are very important elements of RPGMaker.

I have attached pictures of what the events would look like in RPGMakerXP. Note there are 3 pages, each activated by switches. And 2 are triggered to run automatically.

1. why a 3rd page that is empty?

2. ok so... you got 2 messages, both with waits. at the end of the event log it activates a trigger?

and the trigger turning on activates the second one.

and the second one activates a third with nothing.

3. does nothing on a page end up causing the whole thing to end?

4. why "turn away from player". arent u only turning away from yourself? that makes no sense.

5. whats parallel process, through, always on top, and the two touches? player touch i think means when u walk up to someone right?

6. i want the guard to not be there, and then appear there. would i have to make a seperate set of events for that? like have a premade guy walk to a location, and the location telaport him to another?
Parallel process means it'll run without your input, but won't affect you at all.
Through allows you to go through them.
Always on top...that either means they are always on top of you or you are always on top of them.
Player touch means when you go up to them the event activates, and event touch means when they go up to you the event activates.

4. The events were just random movement. Although, it is the event that turns away from the player. I am not controlling the player, but the guard or what not.

I apologize, I see what you mean on number 4. I had accidentally selected player as who to move. It should be "This Event" or what not.

And, yes, all of your people will be events.

oh wait... what tile do i use outside of the building? there is nothing outside of it....

basically what tile do i use in the 0 area since its the inside of a building? the vision starts in the far left north corner, where u dont see the 0area, but once you move south or right you see a giant plain of grass of nothing.
If you are using an inside Tileset, there should be an auto-tile near the top that should be used at the top of walls and for black areas. I have highlighted it in the attached picture. Also the "outside" area has been colored red so that you can see the area that the tile is affecting.

ok... i dont see any of those tile types you have on mine. must be since im still in the trial.

That was in RPGMaker XP. In VX use the tile that is in the 1st Column, 17th Row of page A. It should just be a black tile. Use that for vertical walls, and any space "outside" of the building.
