Tim Langdell, the CEO (and possibly only employee) of Edge Games is known for throwing around his trademark of the word "Edge" in video games and comic books. For quote a while he's been content picking on indie or small game studios forcing them to not use the word "Edge" (or other permutations he trademarked), pay him off, or take them to court which they couldn't afford. Recently Langdell wanted to show off how huge his balls were and picked a fight with EA over Mirror's Edge when it was released for the iPhone/Pad. EA was having none of his bullshit and took his ass right to court where they promptly beat it into the ground. Langdell lost the case and his Edge trademarks and now he has to notify everybody he pushed around that he's the new bitch on the block.
Here's a summary of Langdell's last stand in court showing, well, I'd suggest you read it yourself. It's an interesting read and it shows how flimsy Langdell's position was. All in all, it's a good day for the video game industry!

What a douche.
Trying to trademark and disallow others from using A FUCKING WORD is retarded. Especially one that already exists.
He deserved it.
