i talk to.....almost everyone, even some that are never really active on RMN but just quietly work on their gams. Sometimes I wonder if thats all you really need instead of a forum where most activities are in moronic.
Darken.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I find that the biggest benefit I get from talking to otherrs about my design is the articulation of my own ideas. Sometimes you're not exactly sure what you're thinking until you type it out or write it out, or say it out loud to somebody else. I like IRC for it because other people are there who can tell you whether or not your ideas make sense.
Ever since I was able to talk to our team (mostly Azn though) about this stuff my games have improved A LOT. I really enjoy being able to ask someone about something without having to make a demo or reveal spoilers or anything.

In lieu of a single person, the rpgmaker.net IRC chatroom can indeed work.
I suggest hanging out in IRC, Fist, and finding somebody you like talking to. Like TFT said, it can't really be just anybody.
should set up some kind of buddy topic. i am sure it would be entertaining to see two people randomly grouped up to talk about game design/their games and post about it. i am sure it would be an amusing train wreck or just, something useful.
I talk to myself. Through alternate MSN accounts.
It gives me logical reasoning about whether or not I should do something. Also, tells me to get back to work and stop moaning about having issues =w=.
I might hang around IRC a lot and talk a fair bit, but in actual one on one conversations I feel awkward. Talking to myself, I know myself. Though sometimes I wish I wasn't such an asshole.

I have a small group of friends who I'd talk to about that stuff. I also talk to Nessiah about my plans, and tend to ask if "x" idea would work and if there are downsides or things I haven't thought about with it. It's interesting getting other peoples perspectives, or hear about what they had to say about a previous game. I rather like talking about this kinda stuff but I would need certain people I trust to talk to because I'm rather shy.
I also do silly stuff like ask buddies to make an NPC for me so I can add them to the game. There's probably more of them in Paradise Blue than you think there are.
My brother was also into game making and he did want to make an iphone game recently so sometimes I talk to him about it, but not usually.
