FINAL FANTASY: MYSTIC QUEST ON WII VIRTUAL CONSOLE
Posts
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest
FF:MQ was released today on the Wii's Virtual Console for $8! While a pretty basic game with a so-so story, this game is actually one of my favorites. The maps were very interactive for its time allowing the player to jump, swing weapons, throw bombs, etc. The enemies in battle also changed graphics based upon their health level, so you could tell when you're getting close.

The game is probably best known for its rockin music. There are gobs of guitar covers of it all over YouTube. Here are probably the most well-known songs from the game:
Boss Music
Lava Dome
Doom Castle
Dark King Battle

Shame I don't have a WII. The music alone makes me want to play it, but that low price tag is very enticing too.
What's the benefit of paying money to play this game on the wii as opposed to other free methods? Is there extra content?

If you buy it you won't be a piece of shit criminal and will actually support peoples jobs.
Y'know Ive never played these Mystic Quest games. Sadly I have no Wii, but maybe asking my cousin for his to borrow might not be so bad.. Plus Y'know Kirbys Epic Yarn looks soooo amazing.

Wow, I haven't played this since I was like eight years old. Hell yeah, probably going to pick this up.
A good game to play during those rainy nights, I'll definitely be takin' this old classic for a spin in the future.
This was my very first RPG, and I still hold fond memories of it. I am glad I am not the only person who legitimately enjoyed it in spite of its obvious faults.
And yes, the music is awesome.

I remember the first time I fired up this game.
I played it for 3 minutes and 42 seconds.
That was enough.

Yeesh, I found it way too easy when I played it many years ago. Ended up quitting a couple hours in.
