They actually managed to come up with a game I'm looking forward to more than DQ10. Amazing.

Too bad Phoenix Wright didn't make the cut for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. This will suffice though. :)
Is it just me or does Phoenix look like he's been working out? He's got that football (soccer for you Americans) athlete build.

Waaait what? Okay, this is probably one of the best announcements I've heard ever, and it gives me MUCH more reason to buy a 3DS in the future.
Wonder how it's going to play out? My guess is it'll end up a combo of the two games main components, Ace Attorney's Law system and Layton's puzzle solving.
EDIT: Kind of funny how I just realised this, but even though I know it isn't, if it was canon it would come somewhere in the first 3 AA games timeline wise.

SGCN: It's not a fighting game.
I know :P
EDIT:

Are 3DS games only playable on the 3DS, or can they still work on a regular DS (sans 3D, of course)?
3DS only (but it is backwards compatable with the DS). It's a new handheld, not a current console upgrade.
*edit*
Whole thing is iirc

3DS's price is not announced, it'll probably be $250.
I'm playing through the fourth Layton right now. Never played the other series, but I'm looking forward to this.

It is in Japan. http://www.product-reviews.net/2010/09/29/nintendo-3ds-price-too-expensive/
It is in Japan. Current exchange rates are nothing to go by (especially with the yen so strong). They never have been, and there's no reason to start now.
Also you have to be aware that this literally like just came out, and its the first next gen console. Also it has crazy 3D technology that doesn't make you wear stupid goggles.
At least it didn't pull a PS3 and cost like 100 billion dollars on launch
EDIT: More relevant to this topic, I still haven't got a chance to play either of these series, although I've wanted to for a while now. Well, I had a chance to play the newest Layton game but for some reason I passed it up and bought Nostaliga + Guilty Gear instead, which I am regretting right now.
